I know we're all disappointed at losing yesterday's game, especially given that we were in the driving seat for the first half. Probably like most others I was convinced by the end of the first half that this was to be the beginning of the rest of the season but unfortunately that was not to be.

 

Let's put aside the result and look at the attendance though, pretty awful and it must be depressing for all of those people, whether paid or not, who spend so much time keeping the club going.

 

Surely we should be able to double that attendance - let's face it, everyone bringing one more person would achieve that wouldn't?

 

Easier said than done I know but there were a lot of people who attended during our days of regularly winning who don't attend now. Perhaps they might like to start attending now - the team has been playing well, those people who have attended recent away matches will surely agree with that. I know many people can't get to away matches but surely if an exile like me who has a round trip of some 130 miles can make many of the home games surely some of those supporters who don't attend live locally can start coming along again and supporting the team.

 

What does anyone else think?

 

Oh - sorry, somewhere down the line I mucked up the title and am having difficutly in changing it! Still, if it encourages people to read this it won't be a bad muck up will it?

We've been in or around the relegation zone all season so it's no surprise to see the crowds go down. The only thing that can change that is results.

The amazing thing is, that we've been in the relegation zone for two seasons and we STILL get crowds of 300. The other thing of course, is that we all know that if we were at the top, we would be getting 500 - 600 plus. As said before this is a results generated business.
