Asterixed the players that MB has brought to the club.

 

Clarke, Duncan and Jones could potentially be very good signings. Groombridge has done well by and large. Anderson certainly looks like a keeper with potential. Not a bad judge of a good player then.

 

Added to that - perhaps not obvious looking at home performances, but a massive increase in organisation and tactical nous. The away performances have been a huge improvement on what went before. Rome wasn't built in a day. Just ask CK.

Clearly we need another centre forward. We've got good defenders, we've got a lot of potential in the midfield, but only 1 recognised centre forward. Budget or no budget, someone else has to be bought to the club to play alongside Blackman, or fill in for him should he get injured or suspended, and it needs to be someone who can score, not just scare defenders with pace or skill.

On the subject of the squad, I have completely updated the squad page today and created a new 'Fringe/Reserves' section.

 

Unfortunately during the upload I have lost the ability to connect to the site and so things look disjointed. I have been trying to sort it for a couple of hours now but to no avail and I have still got to start on the bits and pieces for Tuesday's programme. On top of that I refuse to miss 24 for a second week running so the squad page may not be fixed until then!

Whilst he has produced the goals this season, and i rate him highly, i'm not sure that LB is in his best position by playing so far up the field.

I don't think he is an out and out striker-and on that basis-arguably-we do not have a striker at all.

 

I'm sure we would benefir from his ability even more in a deeper lying role.

Admittedly they're not the best defenders in the world, but most of the goals aren't so much down to bad defending, but more down to the whole team falling into synchronized sleep mode...
