Can't imagine somebody that sensitive would last long in football management anywhere.

Think theres a little more to it than that.

Yes there Is Brickie (I'm sure of it). Might I suggest people hold fire on slating the club until the in's & out's are known.Maybe the club had no choice but to accept his resignation..

I worshipped the ground Iain walked on as a Margate player and he is a truly top bloke but, once again, I think the only way we can move forward is with a Manager with a proven record at this level. Get CK back for a while with Iain as Assistant with view to him eventually taking over would suit me though.

Steve

PS. Just off to put on a full suit of armour and various other items of protective clothing to fend off the bullets that will come my way for suggesting a return of Kinnear!

The manager obviously thought there were toooooo many holes to plug (sinking ship stylie) jumped before being pushed........

Spot on DR, some of the posts on this thread look a little silly now don't they!!!

Absolute c**p you talk Brickie as you have all along, our club enticed him away from a safe place promised him the earth delivered nothing, you will see when his players leave ie clake, duncan, aj, etc and your left with Yoraths c**p whom we all seem to love

"And you know all this for sure eh? He didn't come across as somebody so easily led."

So you reckon he was easily led here then? I really can't believe the board here would lead anybody on. How you enjoying sitting in that nice new stadium we've been promised for the last six years? My money is on him resigning on a matter of principle.

Wasnt he on a lower budget at Ashford (No enticing needed there then) - also I think youll find "CLAKE" was a rugby player and has never to my knowledge played for MFC.

You're right it is fascinating. It's also just a laugh. This football club cannot be taken seriously. As another poster said at the very start when the news broke "this club is a joke".

It comes to something when the off-field antics are more entertaining than the on field ones.

Yes but I think you'll find it takes longer than 3 months to build a team!!

I totally agree 3 months is not long enough, but as already mentioned we dont know the full details of his leaving. I personally thought we were playing better under his control, but unfortunately we dont have the full details and as a footnote would it be too far fetched for him to be heading to Maidstone!!!!! just a cheeky thought - no evidence
