ETFC v's GWR

Enfield United

Recommended Posts

what a shame that despite the defeat the players and management didn;t appreciate the non stop vocal support in the second half.

At least as the TOWNERS applauded GWR their players appreciated it

Anyway, did we have a midfield in this game? When we attacked the gap between the front line and mid field was MASSIVE, and when they were called on to defend they were inept

Well done GWR, that was a gutless performance by Town

dont expect more than 217 to turn up, if you continue to play like that

NO WAY WAS IT A GUTLESS PERFORMANCE, WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LUCK FROM ALL THE CHANCES WE CREATED WE COULD OF BEEN AT LEAST 3-1 UP BEFORE THE EXPERIENCED GWR SIDE CAME BACK. BOTH RUDI AND PAUL WORK THEIR SOCKS OFF IN EVERY GAME AND AS I MENTIONED ON THE COLD END HAMMOND TRACKED BACK IN DEFENCE ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION AS WELL AS ATTACKED CONSTANTLY WITH BYFIELD ON THE LEFT... SO TO SAY "DID WE HAVE A MIDFIELD IN THIS GAME???" IS VERY HARSH!!!!!. IT'S THE FIRST GAME LOST IN 9 MATCHES... IF WE'VE LOST NINE IN A ROW MAYBE WE CAN OFFER SOME CRITICISM....

AGAINST WARE WE JUST NEED TO KEEP IT SIMPLE LIKE WE DID IN THE FIRST HALF AND IT'LL COME GOOD. .

SUPPORT THE TOWN TOWARDS THE PLAY-OFFS!!!!

Cor bl1mey there are inaccurate analysis and then there are real inaccurate analysis, THEN theres this one by ST.

Our performance was'nt gutless and the 217 crowd watched a good battle of wits between two play off chasing teams, at £7 an adult and a £1 for kids it was as value a money for entertainment you'll get this weekend. I for one enjoyed the game very much, although disappointed we did'nt win. I'll probably give up my reddies at work to watch the two up coming mid-week games too, something I was reluctant to do under previous management teams.

Basically I think your comments were a touch harsh to say the lease, unless your sticking a rocket up a few ar5es for our next match on behalf of the supporters, which i'll applaud you for.

Great game to play in , and you had enough chances first half to win.

can i just say that the crowd of 217 was noiser than when we went to lowestoft in front of 672. Great support for your team , and you can all claim an assist for the second penalty as the linesman buckled under the pressure.

Whoever takes the pics of the game can i say thankyou for taking one of me abusing the lino , i am keeping that forever !! ha ha

Best of luck for the rest of the season , youll be in the play offs im sure so need to start panicing.

ps. and thankyou all for the round of applause as we left the field, it was truly appreciated by all of us and we only wish that we had the support every week that your boys do.

I think the crowd won the first penalty and it was a very poor challenge that won the second!! :signthankspin:

I couldnt get over that ref. Firstly his looks reminded me of the thamesmead manager who i think is an arrogant helmet. and then secondly he let his lino's take charge of the game for him !!! the one who gave the second penalty was leaking some brown stuff from his shorts when your boys shouted. And then the other lino must have been bored because he chose to run on the pitch from 50 yards away to let the ref know he had seen something that the ref had not seen from 5 yards away !!!! GRRRRRRRRR

I love also how when a ref knows he is having a bad game he makes a decision and then legs it !

I enjoyed the " shut up whingeing Trenkel " shouts when the second pen was being given !! ha ha ha , i almost almost had a bite back but it wasnt you lot i was angry with !

I also changed my opinion of Rudi Hall a bit on Saturday. Ive never really had much time for him on the pitch before saturday , but i had a good chat with him in the tunnel before the game , and afterwards he said to me that we had deserved it , and i know how much it hurts after a defeat , so i appreciated him saying that and thought he might be a good guy after all

Just wanted to say on behalf of 3 of us who came across from Reading Town how much we enjoyed the afternoon.

The standard of football was high and we were still making our way to the far end as Great Wakering scored the opening goal!!

Thereafter the home support was cracking and very amusing and extended to the second half when it got much louder - just loved it.

All credit to GWR for continually getting forward, they deserved the points.

Nothing however will spoil the enjoyment of meeting up again with the ex Edgware contingent in the squad particularly, and also new faces (to me) in the Towners team.

Steve and Del are doing a great job here and deserve your wholehearted support - you will attain your target of Ryman Premier League providing you all encourage one another. Go earn the 3 points at Ware tomorrow evening.
