slough town supporters association when people knew who was taking over 5 years ago should have done something rather than doing it too late if they can run the club now why not then

There are a very small handful of people that run the STSA who devote their own time and expense to running the association and, in my opinion, do a good job in very difficult circumstances. Suddenly though, everyone seems to think they're some all conquering power who a) should have been able to foresee what was happening and should have done something/had the power to do something about it.

In reality the people that run STSA are just supporters like all of us and do not have a monopoly on good ideas of what to do or how to best resolve the problems. They represent us so where were we during the last five years telling them this instead of now in hindsight?

If I was Chris or Mike reading this, I'd ask myself whether I'd want to carry on running the STSA given the totally unjustified criticism they're currently receiving. The Association can only have power, albeit limited, if they receive the support of the fans. Have they really had that and even if they had, could have they have foreseen what was going to happen or have stopped it?

Criticise them for not communicating perhaps although I don't know whether they were able to or not. But certainly don't criticise them for the situation that Slough Town Football Club is currently in as that's the fault of all of us - Deaner, the supporters, the Council and the Thorne's.

Absolutely right it seems as though people just want to wash their hands and then turn around and blame someone for the situation the club are in.

 

Lets not forget the club was run by members who ran it into administration.

hi all its david not ming tang evens. i hope all is well. i think we have 15 players and sort out the problems. in slough library looking at the web and forums strugleing to proceade with the post and hot and bothered. been at the slough reassorce centre doing some volentry work on mental health and the like cheers
