Chennels now the division's top scorer

Excellent scoring rate.

Unfortunately Gosport have played five fewer games, so probably Bennett will overtake again. But Chenns is still quality regardless dance%20(2).gif

Only downside for me is that I couldn't get to the match to see the hat-trick, even if it had been at home I wasn't! So here's hoping for a home repeat...

I know nothing is won until it is won but i think totton will have a mountain to climb and if we go with the right attitude as we have we will win this league, there is a good chance that we will reach 100 points. Just hope if/when we have a bad spell we will have the necessary cushion of points to pick ourselves up.

Chens looked utter quality last night. Which got us debating when does he hit 100 competitive goals for the club?

Assuming the squad stats are correct he is on +4 as it stops 27/01/10. Doing a quick bit of maths that (I think) makes him now on 94 competitve goals....

This season 16 (+4)

2008-2009 - 26

2007-2008 - 26

2006-2007 - 22

Total 94

Anyone got any other guesses? I think either the supporters or the club should do/award something when he hits it !

Totally agree that channels is top quality probably my favourite player in the squad along with fagan! But i think it only fair to point out that Justin Bennett has scored 17 league goals in only 13 matches for Gosport as he missed the first 6 matches through injury! Looking forward to seeing a couple more from Chenns on Saturday!

After the cheering the dressing room and the celebrating died down i bet Scotty said exactly the same, it is only 5 points, ultimately 2 results like last night but the other way round and the league could be much in totton's hands. We just have to keep concentrating and playing our football and not worry (too much) about what Totton do.

Still a very long way to go, remember last year.......
