Holy Crap!! 17 Points Clear!!!

The thing is, I don't see exceptional circumstances that make this justifiable. If VT's pich is rubbish tough, they should have sorted that out. if they choose to take the ludicrous cup seriously then tough. That is not the fault ot Totton or any of the other sides that will be unfairly penalised because of this. If they had to play 3 days in a row tough. It really does make you wonder about these people that run the league, what planet do live on.

First comment on this subject, but Stag Whippet I think it's unfair to aportion any blame to VT FC. Weather and bad pitches have affected us all. Should they, should they not take the cup seriously, personally I want to win every game of football Windsor play, no matter what the competition, so I think it's unfair to attach any blame to VT FC. The blame should lie in its entirety at the feet of the league administrators, should an extension of being granted absolutely not, should the league have scheduled a two legged cup final during the season, absolutely not, should they relook at how they do the fixtures with more windows for midweek games at the beginning of the season, yes they should.

I agree - it is not just unfair to blame VT. Rubbish pitch at VT? I think you'll find most of VT's postponements were for away games.

Sure, they were extremely foolish to keep winning those cup matches. Fancy, they went out to play a match and won it! Stuff and nonsense.

The League have made this a problem and in my opinion should have 'asked' Totton and Taunton to move their match to the Tuesday after the end of the season .... there is stil a problem. VT may well have to play a playoff game the next day in order to keep up with the 'need' to play the final playoff game on Saturday.

I hate to sya it but this is not the first time there has been a fixture list pile up and it won't be the last. The problem is if the league hadn't extended the season there would have been calls for it being unfair (as has happened previously) and when they do extend it it is clearly unfair. They were in a no win situation, but it is all of their own making, someone needs to fall on their own sword and let a person with a brain, common sense and an interest in football take over.

Do you think maybe these guys at the top sorting the league are really bankers and this is their favourite hobby. "Right, we've completely mucked up the country, lets see if we can do the same to non-league football!!"

Sorry, I am not making myself clear. I don't blame VT, I blame the league idiots. What I am saying is that, whatever the reasons VT are so far behind are not of any of the other teams making so why penalise them.

I they were going to extend than it should have been decided many weeks ago, not 2 weeks before the end of the season and then not when it involves issues to be decided.

Now might bethe time to draw a line under the affair and concentrate on winning your last 3 games, as they say :492:

If you do win your remaining games i think now you will win the league and deservedly so, it is going to be very hard for us to now win our last five games but not impossible.

So you have the edge, i think you are overplaying the affair slightly are you saying you wouldn't go out to win your last few games if the fixtures were being played at the same time ? we will know what we have to do only in the sense i think if we win the next couple, if we lose tonight i fear it will be all over.

Don't think i can take any more whinging, after all its a game of football.

So 3 points tonight and only 4 games left. a win Saturday and it really is game on, getting exciting now. We all know it isn't right and the league messed up, but we all have to deal with it and move on. At the end of the season all that the table will show is who came first not how or why. I hope it is Windsor but wouldn't begrudge Totton the title.

Must be one of the tightest title run ins for a while, if it goes to the VT game wonder what sort of crowd we will get?

Business done tonight, of our remaining 4 games, 3 at home and that trip to bracknell, on paper we can win all of them but maybe there is still a twist or two in the title chase. I wouldn't rule out AFC Hayes beating Totton on saturday knowing that if they lose they are relegated, surely incentive enough to go out and win. Interesting you mention possiblecrowd for the VT game could be the biggest crowd in a long while if we need to get something out of the game to win the league.

Saying that about AFC Hayes, they gave us two tough games and didn't look like a bottom of the table team at all. Wouldn'tput it past anyone to beat anyone in the last few games, nerves a jangling and so much at stake, who knows.all we have to do is take one game at a time.

no easy games now

Except hopefully the Bracknell game where we can hopefully boost our goal difference :icon29:

yes i know they beat VT and they are our bogey team but -160 plus goals, as you say game at a time. Abingdon saturday

who interestingly lost to BG tonight.

I'm certainly more hopeful of our chances now after last nights display.

Hayes still have a lot to play for, even if they don't catch Andover they need to accrue as many points as possible, given that several relegated sides from this level inevitably will stay up due to other clubs misfortune. A healthy-ish points per game ratio is crucial Hayes.

Abingdon could have a big say in where the Championship goes over the next few days. One slip up could be curtains for either us or Totton. The pressure is really on both clubs now.

And we have BG next thursday!!! You would say on paper (and on paper only) we should get to the VT game with a win to win the title. But things are never that straight forward are they!!!

this is all assuming that Totton don't stumble as well, they still have 3 games as well and we know more than anyone how "easy" games can be made hard, I WAS AT BISHOP'S CLEEVE!!!!!!!
