Does anyone know where Chippingfield is? (I'm told it's in the Abbot's Langley region)

 

We're off to a wedding there on Saturday. Does anyone know the best way to get there by public transport??

Chipping near Butingford or Chipperfield near Kings Langley ?

 

I asume the latter and its difficult by public transport. I know people who live and work there so I will find out for you tonight but just get a cab (last time I went, also for a wedding, it was about £20 -25), its a lot easier.

You can get a train from Watford Junction to King's Langley - if that's any help. Then taxi from there?

Just to confirm.

 

It is as I remember, train to Watford, change, back out to nearest station, Kings Langley, cab or bus to Chipperfield, 2 an hour I am told, buses that is, a cab could be the same though, not a hugely populated station at the weekend.

 

Take the easy option, you know it makes sense <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

You should be able to get a cab from Kings Langely, used to work just down the road from there and drive through Chipperfield on my way back it can't be more than 3 miles from the station.

Its not just if it can be done its the style with which it is done.

 

2 train tickets @£6 (?) plus cab fare (only 3 miles but still £5), missed connections, cab availability, weather forecast (not brilliant) etc., or just walk out your door and get out the other end with no hassle for about the same price.

 

Also coming back after the reception, hopefully pi**ed, no chance ....
