Apologies.

Urchin Man,

We have no problem with banter but when it takes on a more "wind up" tone, then the abuse starts and I think we would like to avoid that.

Most of our supporters and, I think this applies to all Non League support as well, are friendly people that have a condsidered attitude. All they want is to enjoy the football, support their local club (and lets not beat around the bush here, Non League teams form, to a lesser or greater degree, a focus for their local community) and have fun. Banter is part of that fun.

I could say that what I find refreshing with this level of football is that we all seem to know what is going around with other clubs and take an interest in all the goings on, on a personal level, club wise. For example, before our game against Ford last season, some of our supporters dropped in to your club and were quite immpressed with the set up and said so at the Ford game. It was quite a discussion point. Another example is, for all the banter, I don't really dislike or have any real beef with Canvey supporters. It is all good healthy banter (I "nash" my teeth when they beat us and obviopusly am more than delighted when we beat them). In fact, CANV and I used to have a long running "battle" (oh those heady days).

Remember that we all enjoy the support at this level, we all have feelings (Oooooo, I'm going "New Age" here) and it is only a game.

Anyway, don't be a stranger, keep talking to us but just be a little more "considered" with your views.

Cya later,

Ahhhh that's better....

We'll see. We have a new manager, new players and new hope after the disapointment of last season (the thirst for success cost us dear). You are new to the Premier, with hopes and dreams founded on a successful campaign last season....should be interesting and worth watching.
