I'm sure I read somewhere that Boot is under contract. Does this mean we would actually get a fee if he moves club?

Given the fact that he came out publically stating that he was owed money, he would be able to be released from his contract as Sammy Winston was and move for nothing.

Would be grateful if you can give a few details of this lad, U's fans impressed last night.

Signed for us at start of last season, did not make an instant impact and the fans wondered why he was in the team ahead of a more established non-league striker (Steve Hale), once he finally hit the net he didn't stop scoring. 31 in all competitions last year, including two against Canvey in the FA Cup. A confidence player but with support from the guy playing alongside him he will put the ball in the net.

Seems like a giant leap from Ryman Div 1 North to Division 2. Only had one season of scoring lots of goals so not sure if he can repeat the goods. All very well impressing against Sudbury, can he do it against the Sheffield Wednesday's of the world?
