Barkingside, Bethnal Green, Takeley & Tiptree all can do the treble.

The first three, very realistic too.

has anyone ever done an ESL treble?

Brentwood did in 06-7 and Area 51 did it too the previous season. Leyton also came close in 01-2, but lost out in the League Cup final.

I am sure Lord E can furnish us with the finer details, but the Harry Fisher/Gordon Brasted (first played for in 82-3) was always a repecharge competition, with only the losers from the League cup first round taking place, ergo nobody could do the 'treble'.

I think this was amended around the turn of the century, when every side entered both competitions.

S King, G Golby, N Cowley and G Tiffin done the treble in 05/06 and 06/07 with Hornchurch and Brentwood. N Cowley almost made it 3 Trebles in 3 Years with Concord just missing out with a defeat to Eton Manor in the league cup

Interesting bit of info,, sorry mate, would that be Simon King (former WITHAM TOWN) :signthankspin:

He was 21 when we signed him.. debut for us 2/2/08 v Potters Bar

The amount of information on this thread is awesome and great to hear from " Coup" .... when AFC Hornchurch won the treble in 2006 we all thought it would be a record that would stand for years as the previous occasion was in 1972-73 when Billericay Town won the League, the League Cup ( a competition that only ran for three years ) and the League Challenge Cup but lo and behold along came Brentwood Town just one year later and did it again !

When, as I hope we get 20 or 22 clubs we can revert to the League Challenge Cup being open to all and the Gordon Brasted Trophy for those knocked out in the Preliminary or First Rounds as the Harry Fisher Trophy used to be.

Mr Chairman, dont know what you will think of this as an idea, but if the league not upto 20 or 22 in the next couple of sesons, invite four clubs from step.7, you could use your discretion, White Ensign, White Notley, Gas Rec or Galleywood for example, it would work two fold in providing the competitions you want and the step.7 clubs would love to compete against step.5 sides on a yearly basis, a bit like when the 3rd and 4th divisions club invited 8 conference teams to join them in the Sherpa Van / LDV - whatever it was called - Trophy.
