Good evening Wellsie - listening in from a cold and windy Swindon tonight!

If that was Wayne's goal then good on him! What a lovely chap and a promising footballer too..... :smashfreakb:

More-or-less a full strength side tonight Michael. Reed in goal, Blackman up front. Apparently, Curtis scored our goal! You'll have to ask Wellsie to read out the teams again!!

Just a brief summary for anyone who actually cares.....

Poor game, in all honesty. Having said that, we rarely got out of first gear, created enough chances to score 4 or 5 and, ultimately, won. So can't complain really... and all credit must go to MB for fielding a strong team. Would love to see us win this competition every year to be honest - a cup's a cup! And with Ebbsfleet, Dover and Dartford all going out last night, if we can get a kind draw in the next round (Ashford at home would be nice), we have a good chance.

Some good performances: Groombridge played well, as did Curtis (some of his trademark surging runs forward), and Reed was solid. He's really starting to show some form, I feel. Commanding with most balls that were thrown into the box, and made a real stunning save towards the end. But, for me, Stubbs was our best player - good going forward, solid defensively and kept going right til the very end.

Well done all - progress in a cup competition is always a bonus. Let's build on this and try and get something out of a very tricky encounter on Sunday.
