First time i'd seen Camberley this season NG and it was not what I was expecting. I think Chicks would've given them a game! I guess it was just one of those days, credit to Egham who fully deserved their win.

Not heard anything about tomorrow's AFCW line-up, although I note the reserves have a game so will be interesting to see who plays.

Some interesting points about the Dorking v Woking tie. Is it due to go ahead BJR?

And immediately after I post that, lo and behold some clues appear on the AFCW website!

"So tomorrow's team will be a mixture of some of the promising youngsters from Marcus's reserve team and some senior players. James Pullen, Jay Conroy, Luke Garrard and Derek Duncan need some competitive action and I'm thinking of having a look at Danny Blanchett at centre back"

So that's the defence sorted!

And then there is this observation:

"I expect that the game will be a tough one - any team that Darren Barnard is involved with will be well organised and hard to break down."

TRS AS AN OBSERVATION CAMBERLEY WILL BE HARD TO BREAK DOWN ? ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THERE CERTAINLY WERE NO AFC SCOUTS/COACHING STAFF WATCHING EGHAM BLAST THEM ON SATURDAY WHERE CAMBERLEYS DEFENCE LOOKED UNUSALLY WIDE OPEN ! I REITERATE, DO YOU THINK THAT THE CAMBERLEY PLAYERS HAD THIS MATCH IN MIND WHEN PLAYING EGHAM ? INTERESTING................. WHAT DO YOU THINK VP AND KROONER ?

Sorry Nicey - not looked in on here for a couple of days.

I don't think our lot had the AFC game on their mind. Yes, it's a big game for us but not as big as if it had been in the FA Cup.

We certainly know the Dons won't be putting out their strongest eleven so, in reality, it is just another game.

It's sad that these competitions have come to that but you have to face facts.

Doesn't stop me watching them as I don't have this snobbery most fans of most clubs have when it comes to cup games. They dismiss players as 'only reserves' as if they're a separate species. To me all players signed on are club players no matter if they're playing for the first team, reserves or even under 18's in any given week. They all deserve support.

Look at the slack Mick McCarthy got for fielding a 'reserve' side at Old Trafford in December. The fact that all bar one of the players had played in the first team already this season, and some of them had played a dozen games or more for the first team didn't stop them being smeared by the papers who need a quick headline to grab the attention of the dullards who read and believe the tripe they write.

Feckin snobs!

What was your question again? I think I've gone off on one.

Nurse, he's out of bed again! :chloenurse:

Must admit, I hadn't even realised the rebound had been put in at first, as I thought the keeper had smothered it. No reaction from any away fans doesn't help! I think the Cambo forward felt the keeper had stood on him, which I think was accidental. The aftermath went on for a bit longer before the ref finally told them all to grow up!
