As far as I recall, other than the difficult financial climate, one of the difficulties with the new site was trying to accommodate the West Wing. If that hurdle has now gone that should be good for us. It'ss all gone quite quiet with regards the new site however which is a little worrying.

The paper quotes the west wing moving in to the learning curve in 2012.

 

The original plans were to aim for us to be possilbly playing at the Dave Piercy Stadium for the 2011/12 season if all went well.

 

With the "drift" that has happened I cant see us being in before the 2012/13 season.

i think that the demolision of the west wing will be the last stage of the plans as now homes will be built on it so HOPEFULLY the orchard park stadium and the housing estate will be nearly compleated when they move HOPEFULLY

It'ss all gone quite quiet with regards the new site however which is a little worrying.

 

I'm under the impression this is due to the last local elections with things changing around inside the council putting the process on hold. The meeting originally scheduled for December was moved to January so should perhaps here something soon. If there is anything to announce.

As I understood there were 2 sets of plans for the site one with the west wing and one without, the difference being without west wing there would more housing. This should not effect the football stadium in any way, also the plans were for the stadium to be built first.
