You never know Fash may be ditching the welsh valleys for good old slough?!

Stranger things have happened

Some nice match fixing ahead then!!! Mind you, it doesn't make lots of sense to ditch one club because of problems with the local council, to take over another club, with problems with the local council.

Slough Town Gladiators anybody?????

Apparently, Saunders went to a few Barry matches and met up with Fashanu. Dean Saunders has a house near Slough, and apparently there are developments in the pipeline............

Wonder if we get Wolf too?

Well, I'm curious too - that's why I was wondering if anyone else had heard about it. There's been a bit of coverage in a couple of the local papers in Wales. Also, it seems that Fashanu's been wanting to get out of Wales for some time now. (And who can blame him!) The whole thing, with Saunders having a house in the Slough area, and Fashanu wanting away from Barry, seems to make sense. A Barry Town fan I know says it's been pretty much common knowledge for a couple of weeks now, with Saunders and Fash regularly meeting up, but I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything about it. Would be great if something like this could happen - but you're right, Wolf is probably dead by now...........

Its the first time I've heard Fash/Saunders and SLough Town in the same sentence, but I guess its not beyond the realms of possibility. Just seems unlikely to be honest. Fleece the Barry fan for what they know (can I say fleece in the same sentence as stuff about Wales without getting a cheap laugh???? Probably not)

Right, I've spoken to the dirty little sheep-fondler, and this is what he says. Although Barry have got into Europe this year (third time in a row apparently) Fashanu's had enough of the off-pitch aggro. He wants to get control of a club in the South, and the prevailing opinion seems to be that it would cost little more than pocket change to take control of Slough. Dean Saunders and Fash have been mates for ages; apparently, Fash asked Deano if he'd come and be player-manager at Barry when he originally became chairman, but Saunders turned him down, as he didn't want to be commuting from his new house in Berkshire (!). So, Fash looks around, sees Slough ripe for takeover - let's face it, who hasn't had enough of that w@#*£r Deaner's lies? - and comes in on some sort of dream ticket, him as chairman, with financial backing from a consortium, and Saunders as (player-?)manager. Apparently, they're sorting out the final details of the offer this week, and the official announcement is due by next Tuesday. That's all my chum from the valleys knows - it's turned out to be quite ewes-ful, I reckon.

Fashanu and Saunders are great lads and brilliant football minds, but I wouldn't let them near my five year old daughter - if you know what I mean.
