ETFC v's Leyton

Enfield United

Recommended Posts

Us Youth Section have promoted and targeted this fixture as a game we should be trying to attend and support the first team towards 3pts. There are a couple of reasons why this game in late january should be targeted. Firstly, because I think there are some players our youth boys can learn from by watching them, secondly we need to encourage the younger generation to attend more often and have a feeling for ETFC at all levels and thirdly we are expecting a good win and its always nice to send the youngsters home having watched the team win.

For all the above reasons I'd like to appeal to our more exciteable supporters who stand behind the goal to not swear out aloud or put swear words in what chants they have in store.

Thanks in advance.

It's just this game that needs the swear words left out.

Nothing wrong with turning up so long as you dont chant 'your support is f---ing [censored]' at the top of your voice in clear ear shot (1 mile radius) of any 4-12 year old guests we may have coming along for the first time. Just an extra bit of consideration.

As for renewing aquantainces with Costas.............................................................................I only go to Cafe Nero's now since that sh1tty day a few years back......boom boom.

By the way can anyone recommend someone to help me fill out my tax return's online, i've only got a week to do it ...........................Thanks

First goal

I think the defender got there ahead of Hope and keeper Justham then put the ball into his own net in trying to clear. Alomost certainly an og.

Second goal

Wallace, deadly from six inches, deprives Hope

Third goal

Wallace again after Justham could only beat out a shot

The result flattered us! Our first two goals were down to keeper mistakes. The first half was tight and Leytscum did not seem a team second from bottom. In the second half some of our passing was superb. We deserved the win but, with the changes at Leytscum I woud expect them to move away from the relegation zone.

Not a brilliant match (to be expected really after all the snow disruption and cancellations) but Another good team performance....3 points...3 goals (could of been more).....Hope and Wallace playing superb up front with Blackburne due back soon, Lockie and Bardle looking good at full back (Ellams due back within next month or so) with Hammond and Byfield on the wings and the Hall/Marks partnership looking a good solid centre midfield....ETU and Concord loosing...... smilewinkgrin.gifHappy Days!!!! smilewinkgrin.gif

Match report (along with loads of other stuff including penalty shootout from Colney Heath V Kingsbury LT in midweek if you are interested) - THE COLD END

Oy shunt never mind the fecking score what was the bludy langwich like??????? :cheesy (2):

Not an effing swear word in ear shot of the local vicar, which was appropriate for our youngsters. However, it was one extreme to another, as our supporters were very quiet in fact too quiet. So from now on I suggest loads of noise drums megaphones and anything else we'd care to mention but we dont need to be sub cultured in our behaviour. Thank you to all those that respected the presence of the youngsters today. The general feedback from the dads who were present with the boys were that this is a far superior outfit than the other ETFC of the past.

Good news is awareness was made and return visits maybe a posssibility, most certainly if promotion looks ever so likely.

As for the game, it was a one sided afair against a very poor Leyton team, whom our defence were never really bothered and we should have had 6 goals and not 3 today. I enjoyed the game, some of our play was very good, other times it was just enough to manage and gain the 3pts.

Nobody has commented on the Leyton management.

The first substitutioon. What was the reason for the delay and the second degenerated to farce.

It was clear that the centre half could not contnue on one leg and yet he delayed the substitution again. If I was number 12 I would be looking for another club as it is clear the management have no confidence in him.
