Games Saturday 23rd Jan

How are the pitches looking for tomorrow's games? Some rain expected today, but hopefully dry tomorrow. FA Vase for me Chertsey v Plymouth Parkway. Plymouth are bringing up about 70 fans, so hopefully a reasonable crowd... :excited: And then watch Leeds humble Spurs in the FA Cup....

Yeah good luck to Chertsey tomorrow (although purely on a selfish point of view I hope it goes to a replay before you win) :)

Anyway Krooner Park is looking perfect. We are away to Egham though. DOH :bartshocked:

Knaphill vs Warlingham

Redding Way was looking okay yesterday with no surface water! However last night we have resulted in covering certain areas of the pitch with great big sheets of taurpaulin to give us every chance of playing the first teams first home game since 7th November!!! as the weather today was not looking too clever. :rain:

Fingers cross they work!

Hope you have got a nice flat even pitch Trenty, else you will cause more problems than you hope to solve.

Redding Way is the best pitch in CCD1 and will rival most Premier pitches. Like Trenty said, the drainage is naff! I feel for the club not getting many games there through the winter times!!

Nut said yesterday the game tomorrow between Feltham and Westfield is in major doubt after Bedfont playing on it Tuesday and us on Wednesday I believe his words were ' Fooking hell, it's like a herd of elephants have been across it' and he'd try but don't expect much. He was also shocked the officials gave the green light to play on it!

Wattsy,

3 years the drainage has caused us problems. WBC had soil samples taken, check the drains, cameras put in underground to see what the problem is however the bottom line if we were to rip up the pitch it will cost us or WBC approx £4500 to repair the problem, in the meantime we have to try and get by with what resources we have which includes covering the pitch up with taurpaulin etc. Even going to use one of those machine the cricket boys use to get rid of water!

Weather permitting verti draining is being done next week at long last! Got you boys in a fortnight at your place, hopefully the pitch will have recovered by then?

Feel sorry for the guys who have decent pitches but not the drainage. Like Trentie says the money it costs to correct these thigs is prohibitive and they have to make do.

Lets all hope for a nice dry spell so we can get back to playing footie.

Some seriously heavy rain in Staines/Egham area right now and has been hammering for the past 1.5-2 hours. so after Nuts comments yesterday about the Befont pitch, I highly doubt the game will go ahead tomorrow!!

Cant see Bookham's game against Sandhurst being on tomorrow, knowing how well Muddowbank drains :rain:

Dorking trained there last night and it was just about usable.

After this rain we are getting, I reckon less than 50/50 now !

Does anybody know how Hanworth Villa's pitch looking.Molesey away there this saturday?

My guess is, very muddy, heavy and wet! But they do manage to play alot of games on there considering it's condition at time, which is good I suppose!!

wattsy any attempt to do pitch work at badfont has gone with the rain last night and today just not possible , it is in a terrible state and will be very surprised if the ref plays it , if he does it will be a shocking game of football as i had trouble walking on it today ,
