Technically yes,although i think that the Essex Fa should get the chelmo v aveley game on by mid february hopefully,may mean the winning team could end up playing us a few days later hopefully

 

 

Please remind me Rob, what stage are we at in the league cup? Having beaten Harlow I don't see any mention of the next game on our fixture list. Or has dementia kicked in?

That game apparantly will not be played until well into february,obviously when it suits chelmsford as their press officer also seems to be the Essex Fas press officer as well.

I thought the county fa games took precedence, surely Chelmsford and Aveley should be made to cancel one of their respective league games before we get "well into February" to get the ESC game resolved?

 

They do over league matches and league cup matches - however FA Cup / FA Trophy take priority over the ESC.

 

However my guess is the Essex FA are not enforcing this to heavily.

Chelmsford v Aveley in the Quarter Final of the Essex Senior Cup has finally been set for Monday 15th February.

 

This was the match that was supposed to have been played by 9th January!

 

If the Essex FA insist we have to play our semi-final against the winners by the 27th February it would mean we would have to play it the following Tuesday, which is currently our re-arranged home league tie with Canvey Island.

 

Hopefully though we will have a longer period of time, instead of having to re-arrange another league match. After all the final is not for a while yet.
