Stourport Swifts v Slough Town

We were coasting to be honest, against a fairly ordinary Stourport side. Should not have given the goal away. Good game to watch. Best value for money though was the swift burger at £3.50 for burger, cheese, onions, bacon and sausage!

Having seen said burger I can confirm it was truly a monster! As for the game a great performance in which we were easily good value for the win. Was very impressed with Clark in midfield and Simon Martin also had a very good game up front doing everything but score. Had it not been for their keeper the score would have been embarrassing.

Thoroughly professional performance and a fully deserved win. Nobody would have thought we'd been without a game for six-weeks so weel done to Steve Bateman, Darren Salton and John Lawford for making sure the players were ready to return.

First-half could have gone in five goals to the good easily. Played some lovely football on a difficult pitch, second-half they came at us early on and we did not play as well but goals from Dean Clark and Buchannan sealed the win.

At our place Stourport caused us all kinds of problems and we got a somewhat fortunate win, but never really gave them a sniff today. Must have been 60 or so away fans today for a five-hour round trip as well which was good to see.

Great goal by Sincs, and everyone played well but special mention to Edgey who played centre-back. MOM for me was Chris Herron though.

Next week now a massive game against Hitchin with them dropping points again today. Will be very tough, but hopefully we can put right the result at their place where I thought we never really showed-up apart from the first 15 minutes.

Agreed, a very professional performance by every player today. We controlled the game for the vast majority of the time and played some very good football. Good signs ahead of the Hitchin game, and no reason why we can't do well in the B&B cup too.

I personally would have given MOTM to Sinclair, closely followed by Kean, Buchanan and Edgeworth.

Well worth the five hour round trip!

Interesting to see Hitchin drew again.

Video footage from the game is currently being uploaded to Youtube. Got three of the four goals well, the other not so. Didn't get theirs, nor many of the chances they did have.

Will confirm once it is ready.

Really enjoyed today's game. First 10 minutes was much ado about nothing but after that we started stringing some lovely moves together with Steve Sinclair looking very lively supplying the cross for the first headed goal from Edgy. Second goal from Sincs was a real beauty rifled into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Every player played their part in a very good performance with, for me, Sincs and Keano vying for MoM but happy for Herron to get it because he also had an excellent game.

It will be interesting to see what SB does when Harper is available because in my book, none of the starting eleven with the exception of the inclusion of Sonner, deserves to be left out after that performance.

In my opinion Dean should come straight back in, it will be a totally different game and much closer tie against Hitchin, so we need a natural defender back in.

Tuesday will be interesting as well. I know Steve says he will play a full strength side, but wonder if he may well rotate the strikers maybe giving Sonner and one of Hayes, Jordan or even Sippetts a chance.

It's a difficult one because Keano and Dean Clark were excellent today and Edgy had a good game at the back, so who do you leave out?

Great result for the boys, especially given the enormous break between games. Needless to say, Marcus has informed me that I'm now not to attend matches, given that the last three that I've missed through illness/girly appointments we've won!

Having said that, I'm fully intending on going on Saturday, so I'll make sure to bring any good luck charms I can find lying around the house. I may even be tempted to bring the dog, given that we won the last time she came.

Come on you Rebels!
