Billericay 1 Horsham 2

It's a "chicken and egg" situation...Or so I am told. I think that some people (myself included) can be accused of feeling a little self piteous. It's a worry that our support isn't as large as we wish it to be but mo matter how many of us there are, we should still support the players on the pitch.

It's the responsibility (possibly the wrong word but I can't think of any better) of all of us to encorage people to support the club and not just the responsibility of one or two (or three or four). True, I haven't booked the High Street promotion for a couple of months but these will start up again in February. We need to be aware of what is going on down the club and the members of the BTSA (200 odd...not that we have 200 odd supporters - a weak attempt at a pun there) will be messaged by e mail for the foreseable future. I totally understand that people have other (and possibly more pressing things to do on these occassions but instead of pointing out how poor we all think our support is, surely we should take the initiative and do something about it? Only through action can we expect a positive result (even if it is a trickle...it's better than nothing). Again, in order to make any impact we require the support of more than one or two people...the more people that spraed the word, the more likely we are to get more people down to the club. And if anyone has any ideas (there is no such thing as a bad idea - it may not be pratical but any idea is worth considering) on how to promote the club to the community, then speak to Steve Kent, myself or any club official. We all try to do our bit but we're not super human and there maybe an avenue of promotion we may have missed or not considered...

(apologies for the spelling and bad grammer...my work PC does not like this forum and I cannot view my post before posting).

Tonight we have "For Sake Of The Song". It's free and the music is bloody good...I hope to see some of you there.

We were a bit quiet on Tuesday, in fact we were virtually silent. I felt both the fans and the players were rusty with so long off. Having read this thread I realise that regarding the players it was also down to poor tactics. Such a pain as although they were a physical team and worked hard, we could and should have beaten them. 232 was a poor attendance though. There can't be that many manure fans out there. Last season our average attendance was 423, which I wouldn't say was great either, but its better than this season! Now I am depressing myself so I am going to stop.

I think I should stay away more often!! I had not seen us play since the game before Canvey, untill Tuesday, and it was disappointing how we went about this game.

Speaking to some people at half time, they could tell what was wrong with the team we put out and the formations! So why couldnt the main man? Fact is, we needed to win, had we done that we would have been a lot closer to getting out the bottom 4, but on the night, Horsham were better then us and we couldnt get the result. Brickenll seems to be knocking in the goals at the moment, but we need more then 1 a game.

Hopefully today will prove me wrong.
