7 Fixtures ESL 24/04.

Barking v Mauritius Sports Association

Barkingside v Hullbridge Sports

Burnham Ramblers v Southend Manor

Clapton v Takeley

Sawbridgeworth Town v London APSA

Stansted v Bowers & Pitsea

Tiptree United v Enfield 1893

No fixtures for four teams... Eton Manor, Witham Town, Bethnal Green & Basildon Utd.

Excuse me if i am being a silly billy but is there a reason why four teams finish a week or maybe two weeks before the end of the season. (in Withams case 10/04) is this the norm for the league.

Now there could be a logical reason none of these four teams could play at home on that day due to Reseves or ground sharing or hosting a cup final or maybe they asked the league to finsih the season early as they wanted to watch cricket.

Eton Manor v Witham Town was pp 29/12 so that could slot in and if Bas Utd still have to meet Bethnal Green then all 18 teams will finish on the last day of the season and the four teams who finish a week or two weeks before will not be disadvantaged if they were to be pushing for title / promotion.... this equally applies to Basildon & Bethnal Green who are in the title race. As coachie says this does not apply to us as we are happy to be here and use our youngsters for match experience. :dance (2):

Anyone got any thoughts?

Edit: No offence is meant to Rob, Len or any of the ESL board, but curious :signthankspin:

Some times, teams have been known to finish a few weeks before others.

Backlogs, cup commitments etc often pose a problem

Thanks mate.

Someone has just reminded me on the Witham forum that Eton Manor groundshare with Barking, so that idea blown out of the water.. ha ha....
