Just a question i believe that the senior league pitches are better than in the past but they seem to be very poor at handling weather conditions i drove to training Sat to see lots of park games being played yet the was not a single Senior game on this weekend!

Games get called off a lot easier now days monk!

Refs love a cheeky inspection, pick up some wedge then call it off. Easy afternoons work

Silencer are you saying that if a games called off at 2pm both clubs, players, club officials are all out of pocket while the ref and linos walk away with their money and can have a good afternoon while their missus thinks they are at football.

As Sporting Bengal played and Burnham Ramblers Reserves also, thats's two grounds that may have had an ESL game on them if it had been the right Weekend so a pity that we missed out completely ( excepting Tiptree ) !

Burnhams home games are always on as they have worked very hard on the pitch for many years and it takes only freak weather to get games called off there!

I May upset few people but are other clubs doing enough to get there games on?

Grays Resrves played at Basildon last Saturday so thats another one for the League Chairmans list, mind you at full time i wish they hadnt as the state of the pitch left a lot to be desired.

No Southend Manor but used to play at Burnham so i know how good the pitch is and how hard they work to keep it that way.
