Mine's been on order since the start of November. I'll give it until the end of the month and then I'll chase it up. I'm sort of assuming that they are shipping copies out in the order in which orders were placed.

It was an RSPB walk so I just booked and turned up. I don't know about the need for a permit. There is a small carpark and information boards there so you may not need a permit. I'll find out about it!

You don't need a permit for Wallasea Island, it's open to all.

Never been up there,although i have heard good things,will get up there in a couple of sundays or so.

I think i am getting confused with another island which is owned by the ministry of defence up that way

That's Foulness Island but I hear that you can get in there at weekends. I'll make enquiries when I go on a walk to Vange Marsh RSPB tomorrow.

There is a visitor centre at Churchend on the Island but it only open from April to October. They don't like you straying too far from the centre.
