Ted you are spot on about the divide and conquer ploy. How much easier it is for de manigement if the 'leaders' of the peasants themselves are the people badmouthing and shoving out/ shutting up any doubters in their ranks.

Management: "We shouldn't really be telling you this, but we trust YOU (Useless but 'secret' bull**** follows.) We know YOU have our best interests at heart and want the same thing as us. It's a pity we can't say the same about your people X,Y,Z."

So the loyal peasant leaders go back and, in between painting the toilets or whatever, accidentally use their credibility with the rank and file to get exactly what the management wanted.

Collaborators is too strong a word I think - it suggests knowingly selling your soul. This isn't the case here. Just a big [****!!****] up and a painful learning curve.

Bazzer - don't over celebrate Roger Rebel etc seeing the light. Yeah, they were never going to listen until it was too late. And yeah, you probably took more than enough personal abuse for warning about Dreamer from the early days. But the result's bad, bad, sad – the club's getting ******* .

Roger have you lost the plot or am I missing the point of yr last posting? Ted meant Deaner as the management & STSA committee as the "union reps" getting too close to them by sharing "secret information".

Before I get myself in anyone's bad books, I'm not criticising anyone. I know both Gary and Chris have put in a lot of work. I'm trying to describe where they need to position themselves in respect to the club and confidentiality-----confidentiality is OK where there is trust, but where there isn't trust, don't fall for it, as it will work against what we need, which is a united fan base. Argueing among ourselves, as opposed to discussing the way forward, won't help. With hindsight, things can always be done differently, so I'm less interested in the past as opposed to working out the way forward.

Dear All.

Some very important information for you !

I have not spoken with Martin Deaner in 3 weeks, as our last conversation was about managers player wages and the formation of the TRUST , he was very un happy with me and I tried to put over all those points you have been speaking about over this thread !!!!

I am not priviy to any secret talks or information and the council have now started to give me the cold shoulder for putting pressure on them to sort it out...their have made promises to Martin Deaner and have not told me or anyone else about the plans....

I have acted as an independant supporter, but now seam to be branded some kind of collaborator, well I assure you I have not , I have put STFC first and always will do...

No hidden agenda's from me......or the STSA committee......

Just it happens that we at some time get drawn into the belief that someone is or will be helping us to secure a bright and happy future for our towns team.....

cheers Chris

Just a bit disapointed at some people reaction to the truth...

Chris Sliski dont worry that Deaner's got the huff with you. Whatever you said to him must have hit home.

You will be better able to Serve with Honour the supporters this way. Normally you would want a good working relationship with football club management but in this dire situation it is pointless.

No surprise about the council but keep battling.

After reading what 30ys service had to say, i cant believe that there is someone who still trust him. Also i did not say we join another league but we should have had a plan B.

I just hope that when all is said and done the supporters trust generates as much interest and input as this thread. The supporters trust is now our plan B and I for one am prepared to follow the spirit (if not the name of the club) wherever it may take us.

We must remember that we have the bones of a decent non-league club here.

Everyone who contributes to this forum has the best interests of the club at heart, even the uncle. Between us we can save the club.

It is disheartening that every summer is like this but there is hope.

It does tickle me that the trust will not be operating until September though. Bloody lawyers.

I don't think you ruffled any feathers Roger, just expressed an opinion which everyone is entitled to do.

Yes Roge you're quite right. Everyone who disagrees with me or rocks the boat gets an immediate ban. MY [****!!****].

The amount of criticism I receive personally from the club for what is said on this forum, yet with the odd exception, we remove nothing. I think the club would prefer not to have the board attached to the website at all and have a totally moderated, everyone sings from the same song sheet forum which is entirely moderated and censored, that ain't gonna happen whilst I've still got some control over the site....

Gary,

You said "The amount of criticism I receive personally from the club for what is said on this forum, .............I think the club would prefer not to have the board attached to the website at all and have a totally moderated, everyone sings from the same song sheet forum which is entirely moderated and censored, that ain't gonna happen whilst I've still got some control over the site...."

Good for you!

But I think the time is coming when we need to know who is criticising you for running an honest debate - because then we can tell them that the reason things appear on here that they don't like is because they treat us like mushrooms - keep us in the dark and every so often drop us a load of manure (you know the word I meant, but the censor software will no doubt remove it). The fans at Slough are just scratching around trying to find any information they can as to whether we have a club or not - needless to say the response to my open letter to Mr Deaner, which politely asked some very pertinent questions has received a resounding silence.

So as I am sure Ted will tell us from his experience, managements which do not communicate honestly, openly and directly deserve all the rumours, myths, and miscommunication (and abuse)they get!

So STFC Management - there are three Directors listed at Companies House for FRUS Ltd - stop hiding like a bunch of inadequate cowards, and come and face the fans with answers to the immediate questions, not wishful long range plans which never seem to come to fruition.

Do we have a ground, do we have a groundshare that is or will be paid for and do we have a manager and a team to hit the deadline of our first league match, or not?

Well said Andrew, i only wish i could have made my point as eloquently as you made yours. As i said before fans are desperate for any news and should not be kept in the dark.
