i think thats bollox, when we beat darlo we then played tranmere, that game should of been live but instead they put some other game on,crap game, not even a sniff of a giant killing.I believe it was down to the stadium, just don't look good on tv

Even last season after our exploits at bromley and weymouth, when it was drawn against peterborough at home people were saying that would be televised,i knew it would just be shown as goals on a highlight show.Even though there was probably only one other tie just as appealing

A report courtesy of TK forum............

AFC Hornchurch 3-0 Bognor Regis Admission £9 Programme £2 Not bad Attendance 200ish

Not the best of grounds couple of stands either side and a terrace stand along half of one side with a running track around the pitch.

Was glad to get here at 1.30 to find the game on after really heavy rain on the way up, pitch was in good nick but cut up bad as the game went on.

Game itself was OK with Hornchurch taking the lead from a terrible decision from the ref who had a nightmere giving a penalty from where the defender clearly won the ball.

Second half he didnt improve for the ref another penalty in which was a clear one but the ref didnt spot it the linesman did to the anger of the Bognor players and one player Lewis Ide got sent off for foul Language

Hornchurch rapped the game up when on loan keeper from Southampton Andrej Pernecky let the ball through his legs and the striker had a simple tap in.

Bognor created bugger all and deserved to get beat with the home side hitting the woodwork 4 times as well.

AND HERES ANOTHER ONE..................................

I was also at Hornchurch, both my FA Vase options (Cherstey and Brimsdown Rovers fell by the wayside) and I was meeting some mates for a lunchtime drink in Central London and found there were thankfully a few non league games to be found in the London area so I could get my first game since New Years Day and as I'd never been to Hornchurch before I was off on the District Line to the 'far east', the ground is just a short walk from Upminster Bridge station (don't make the mistake of getting off at Hornchurch!), as the train emerged from the tunnels I was alarmed to see heavy rain falling but fortunatly it didn't amount to much.

I got a warm welcome on arrival and picked up a team sheet from the friendly gentleman on the PA, one of the loudest systems I've ever heard! The match day programme was excellent and included pen pictures of the Hornchurch team was well as the visitors.

I thought the ground was one of the better athletics stadiums although you wouldn't get much of a view from behind the goals unless you bought a step ladder and binoculars although the game could be watched from the clubhouse which overlooks the pitch, there was certainly a bit of atmosphere with the vocal home fans and a few Bognor fans had made the journey up from the south coast too.

I thought the game was very enjoyable with both teams trying to get the ball down and pass it and I thought Bognor played very well early on and but for a couple of saves from Darren Behcet in the home goal they could have taken the lead, even after going down to ten men they still pressed forward even though they rarely threatened. I didn't get a clear enough view of either penalty incident but I noticed how Jonathan Hunt put one away with his left foot and one with his right. Whilst the ref red carding Lewis Ide for foul and abusive language was fair enough why was no action taken against Hornchurch centre forward Jo Flack for telling a linesman to "f*** off" when he was flagged offside? If the ref didn't hear it surely the lino should have drawn his attention to it?

The third goal came about after a surging run from Duane Jackson down the left and rolling the ball across the face of the goal to Mark Janney for a tap in, it didn't go through the keepers legs.
