Returning manager Glenn Botterill kicked off with a win as Buckby made club history by reaching the last sixteen of the Vase for the first time.

 

Kyle Hough put Epsom in front with a ninth minute penalty, but Dan Holman levelled for the Bucks on 16 minutes.

 

Fazel Koriya put the home side in front two minutes before the interval, and Holman's second after 57 minutes gave Buckby a two goal cushion.

 

They needed it too with Robbie Burns keeping Epsom in the contest with a 75th minute effort.

 

I'd have gone but bottled out of queuing most of the afternoon on the M25 clockwise and the M1.

 

... only 4 Vase games (of 16) were actually played today :-

- Poole Town went out to probable favourites Whitley Bay 1-3

- St Ives won 7-0 @ Tiptree (somewhere between Colchester & Chelmsford)

- Needham Market beat Kirkley & Pakefield 5-3 (they're the 'other' Lowestoft team I think)
