Council letter

Recommended Posts

Finally got a reply from one of the six Councillors (Swindlehurst) who I wrote to on the 18th June.

As well as talking about the ridiculous two month extension which gives them a clear conscience in then giving the land to the school he says that...

" I assure you that Council is still working hard to try and secure the future of the club and is considering a number of serious proposals to bring this to a satisfactory conclusion. For commercial reasons we cannot make public the options being considered at this time."

Make of it what you will but my cynical nature leads me to have no faith in the Council until such times they give me cause to think differently.

Consider yourself lucky-----I've written to my 3 ward councillors on several occaissions since May-----no reply from any of them (a mix of parties----Upton ward). And they wonder why people are reluctant to vote in local elections.
