Special1 - Well that's because games can't be officially postponed until the day but we can safely say that Sport London e Benfica's fixture with Harpenden Town tomorrow is off

Not correct for this weekend.

Message from Mick Ewen to all home club officials last night:

After a league managemnent committee meeting earlier tonight it has been agreed that the following be adopted for your games on Saturday :-

If you feel that there is no chance of your game being played, then you as a club can postpone the fixture no earlier than tomorrow (ie Friday) at 3pm, without calling in a referee to inspect the pitch.

Like many of you, the management committee hope that some games will be played, due to the recent thaw and if you feel that your ground can take a game then so be it. However, if you are unsure, then by all means call in either the designated match referee on Saturday morning to make a decision for you.

If the designated match referee is unable to attend or lives too far away then by all means call in a local referee to you. Please ensure that the local referee is a registered referee with this league.

For Premier Division games the inspecting referee must be a level four or above, whilst for all other games it must be a level five referee.

Please ensure that you inform Eric Harrison or myself and last by no means least Jim Bean must be informed.

I have been asked to remind you that you must send in a postponement form to Eric Harrison, otherwise you will be hearing from the league treasurer and it won't bear good news, just a fine.

HTFCew - Thanks for posting that, it's the first I've heard of it and it would have been useful to know last night

I guess that would be the key Rhodes - oh and actually being an official and in the loop I suppose.

So when you're 'acting' as a secretary do you not receive emails?

Or is this all part of the philosophy of TM. Short-term temporary home ground contract, short-term temporary acting secretary? :rain:

Special1 - So I take it you will be calling tomorrow's game off at 3.00pm on the dot today, it would be pointless to delay the inevitable
