So, he has gone and it also says he has withdrawn his offer of funding for the club - what does that mean for our already battered finances due to all the postponements?

Thats the bit that worried me Beth

It would be nice if the club were to let us know if they had some contingency plans in place to deal with this loss of funding? Are they going to bring in another director? Heaven knows, we dont need to be getting into any more debt!!

In light of this maybe us guys and gals on the forum could chip in and sponsor a player (or maybe two if we get enough interest). A few quid extra in the coffers I'm sure would be appreciated. Does anyone think this is a good idea?

I know a few on here sponsor a player already but we could I suppose have one sponsored by FansForum? I will speak to Ian if you like? Or a couple of us could get together and sponsor an individual player?

Didn't think of asking Ian but that's an idea MB. Hope he's keen, I think he's got involved before but can't think where.

I was thinking maybe if a few were up for it, we could get together a little kitty and see how far we can run with it. As many as we possibly can get sponsored really. Being January not many people have £100 knocking around but a fraction of that from a few would be just as effective.

Why not (if allowed) the club charges an extra £1.00 on the admission say for 2 or 3 weeks. This way its not a great amount extra for the 'supporter' and it will really help with the clubs cash flow. Just a thought with all the other good ideas. Also maybe near the end of the season with things looking a lot more stable the club may consider free or half price admission for one game.

I;m assuming I;ve missed something here. Not so long ago GW was the saviour of MFC. Now no-one is wishing him well and enquiring as to his health. I realise I;m not a 'real fan' / not connected etc, so if i've missed something obvious can you fill me in?

Maybe people are a little bitter and disappointed that he's withdrawing his funding...
