Congratulations lads..... well deserved. Into the last 16. This would be the furthest the Crows have progressed in their history........ lets just hope that history states "in the final at Wembley."

 

Tipton Town are a good side only let down by their lack of respect for the officials. One of the coaching staff was red carded and another cautioned. Best of all, which gave us all a laugh, one of the subs was booked before even stepping foot on the pitch.

Royston Town 2 Tipton Town 1 AET Admission Pass Programme Comp Att 350ish

A hard fought typical FA Vase game that the ref did his best to spoil. Royston took the lead just after half time with Tipton equalising about 10 minutes later. Both sides had chances to finish the game within 90 minutes. Royston's winner came in the last minute of extra time in a game that finished at nearly 5.40pm. Enjoyable day at this friendly club and a new tick.

... shame about Brimsdown this PM though 1-4 v Daventry - I s'pose looking at the respective league postions they were up against it a bit.

 

Approx three times their average crowd - 150 - was that what was expected?

 

... or did the crowds stay indoors to watch Arsene's Garcons get spanked?

 

So Royston fly the remaining SSML flag then - won't know their opponents until after next w/e 30th Jan : Wroxham (mid-table in the Ridgeons ECL) or Armthorpe Welfare (From 'Donny' currently 3rd in the NCEL)
