Gary Sippetts

Absolutely amazing recovery from an injury where the surgeon said he could have lost his foot.

Had to smile a bit though when in the next line Gary says that it 'couldn't have come at a worse time just before pre-season'.

imo could prove to be a huge boost for the team if Sippetts gets firing. you can't doubt that from that interview he seems massively determined at doing just that.

with this "winter break" almost seemingly at an end i am so looking forward to the 2nd half of the season. dare we dream of promotion? not quite yet but i have a good feeling it could be a great end to the season

Intersting Bates also wants to sign Sean Sonner as well, although won't pay a transfer fee as the club can't budget it Just wondering, (and i'm in no way suggesting it should happen) but I remember when we signed Veli Hakki from Dulwich during his first spell at the club the STSA (as it was then) paid the transfer fee of £1,000 I seem to recall?

If Sean did help us get promoted and we went into the next league would the fee be clawed back by bigger attendances?

I agree that Sean looked lively when he was with us but with Gary sippetts coming back into it I do not think we need anyone, especially not if they have a price tag.

We have Buchanan and Martin who in November/December chipped in with a lot of goals. DJ who looked good and will be back when the fixtures start to pile up. We have Jesus who will always be a good option from the bench and we have the likes of the youth guy who played earlier and was really good but I have forgot his name due to us not playing for years who can play up front.

In fact im sure I have missed somebody due to the fact I have not seen us play since the 5th December lol. Bloody snow

The thing with Sean Sonner is that he gives us something completely different to what we have at present.

Mainly his work-rate. Whether it's going forward and giving defenders no time on the ball or coming back and defending, his work-rate is phenominal.

Although, like most Slough supporters, I am looking forward to seeing Gary Sippets making his debut for the club, I think we are all in danger of over-hyping and then being disappointed if it doesn't happen immediately.

Gary Sippets will be coming back from a very serious injury and will need a good few games to get anywhere near match fitness and the chance to show his true ability.
