Really surprised sycob and slough haven't got together and moved the snow off as surely the sooner you get it off the surface it will dry out. The chesh fan provided details of a company who offered such a surface. Not a dig just puzzled.

Windsorian .... read my posting above .. 500 tons at least on the pitch ..better let nature take its course....the pitch drains good ...so we hope things will get better soon..

as for paying to get it removed ...non starter ....unless you want to pay for it.... this area recieved some significant snow... and as i said could be more than 6 inchs in places still today !

Chris having worked on the pitch at Stag Meadow last night and having just seen it today its clear to see our work has helped. It may be too little to late and we had 6 inches of snow in places too. Most the snow on the terracing has melted and only a small amount remains which in my view is safe enough to watch a game on and i think it'll be gone tommorow anyway.

Like you've said you have the added problem of the narrow lane to contend with

FFS How many games are we going to have to catch up with? I think come the end of the season the decision to not play on the 2nd will haunt us and the fact that a bit of gritting stopped us playing on boxing day. I tend to agree with post above, if that melts under rain this weekend highly likely it will be waterlogged next week.

Chris S i don't know how long slough haven't played for but surely a club can't afford in this climate not to have money coming in, clubs have even lost players through this bad weather with unpaid wages etc.

Surely the question is whether you can afford not to spend a bit to get the snow off the pitch before it ruins the pitch for the next few games making things worse.

A very good point Windsorian.

At the same time, the only benefit is that everyone is in the same boat. There are already 7 games in the Midlands postponed.

I think part of Holloways Park problem is its location - the access has no constant usage and the trees lining the access block the sunlight on to the ground and pitch.

Hi

I am quite amazed at some of the your thoughts - regarding the playing of this match tomorrow (Sat 16th Jan)

All I can say if you saw the amount of snow that is lying around - you would be amazed .... todays thaw has done little to the snow levels

you all should go and see for yourselves ! it was horredous ...the ammounts to be moved , would seriously take for ever and let alone where you will put it !

they is not enough space to put to the egdes of the pitch ! this would make a snow mountain for sure... I don't think you really can comment about it until you had seen it...

so please please stop saying we could have done this or done that .... many a game are being postponed this week end and those lucky enough to have there grounds

in an area that did not get much snow ..good luck to you ..we will have to wait ....another week and then we might be snow bound again ...

I hope not ................like us all we are getting stir crazy ...for sure

about the snow is it possible to move some if not most to the area behind the pitch (the opposite end to the car park) or not.

does anyone know if we can get Sean Sonner for another loan as we havent been able to play.
