Matt H
I have received word from a very reliable source this morning that Craig Davidson & Bertie Brayley are being placed on the Transfer List!! CANV EFM
mm cant see why we would want to lose the crow? bertie has potential..no idea how he'll turn out but would have thought he was worth keeping on.. maybe they want more football and less bench warming? pabird
Fairly sure a club decision not a player decision Canv
Matt H
To be fair I can see why Craig is Transfer Listed...If we signed Damon Searle it would be hard for him to get regular First XI football, especially as we only play 3 at the back and Lewis Lilley is breaking through the ranks. Braintree might want him back to replace Gary Waters!! Bit surprised about Bertie though, if he goes then we only have 3 Strikers, (Gregors, Boylan & Berquez) unless a few of those Trialists I saw down the Club last night were a couple of Strikers?! CANV EFM
do we want a player that wears a bandana?? if he is a superstar will the younger fans like matt ans YA start wearing yellow canvey bandanas?
pabird
Crow is happy to have played over a reasonable period for one of the best non-league clubs around and always enjoyed the company of players, fans and management If he had minor negative thoughts it could be he was only ever considered as a Left back Peter Taylor selected him as CMF Dave Webb at Right back and Barry Fry at left back and I think his pride as a "player" takes a dent when only considered as a one dimensional full back I believe the club have refrained from putting him under pressure to move and are happy to see him take time to find a placement that suits him Me! I will always appreciate the nature of the football Ive seen and will remain a CIFC fan what!ever happens next
rich sparkes
is the player with the bandanna neil midgley from barnet?.
Matt H
No I don't think it was Rich, but there was a guy there that did look like Neil Midgley but it was dusk by the time the players got back and difficult to see properly. I hate to sound racist and I don't intend to, but the player with the Bandanna isn't coloured, but he's not white either. He had a funny looking 'goatee' beard and was more of Arab/Eygptian origin than anything else. I know it's crude and sounds a bit Stereotypical but that's all I can say to describe him. I don't know him, but I'm sure I've seen the face somewhere before. Matt CIFC
CANV EFM
fking hell matt.. i think you are still allowed to use the coplour of someones skin to desribe them without going to jail.. whats next you cant say someone is short? or teensy bit fat? you youngsters today
Matt H
It is "politically incorrect" to use 'Black' or 'White' to describe someone's skin colour now...There are some other ones like it is "politically" incorrect to call someone a 'dwarf' they are to be referred to as 'Little People'!! Matt CIFC
ronin
I think it`s safe to say that Pabird and family will always be welcome at Canvey, good luck Crow.
Matt H
When Crow finds a new Club he's happy with, if CIFC will be playing them this season I must remind myself to be able to make it to that game... I remember when Craig first came to us, I remember seeing him playing for Braintree I remember the night he came back to Park Lane and I look forward to seeing what he's moving on to in the near future... BFR
re: Ross Johnson at Slough I've not heard anything about this, nor could I find the story. To be honest, I don't see how we could have signed him when we've no chairman, no manager, no ground, no certainty of fottball next season. Stranger things have happened though, such as Steve Browne getting another job
Matt H
Slight case of crossed wires here!! The post on Isthmian fans was by a 'Rebel_Nick' now Ronin and myself both immediately thought of Slough Town. However I've seen a post on the Slough Messageboard telling me that we've got the wrong Rebels!! The post on Isthmian fans was in fact from a Worthing fan!!! Matt CIFC
