I seem to remember the one on the unofficial site being used a fair bit at the start(especially after matches)and was really good(i seem to remember speaking to Dave,Halifax lass,Fleet man and quite a few others who i forget now!),so if we did have one that was USED it could be good.

Personally, I can't stand the bloody things. Either no one will use it because there are never that many people on here at any one go, or it will be the death of the forum because people will using the chat and others will miss out on stuff

I like the forum the way it is. I've never really used one before (apart from an Oscar night on a film forum that I posted 250 odd posts in one night slagging off film stars), but I've got used to this place.

 

If we had a chat room, people would miss out on all the names we call Shrews Loyal!

I can't see why people shouldn't use a chatroom if they want too...personally i can't type fast enough to make it worthwhile so I prefer the forum but given our limited number of supporters I can't see a chatroom being succesful unless there is a prearranged time when a large group of people will visit it together.

If a large group of supporters are interested in getting together to whinge about the ref after matches we already have an old fashioned pre-Bill Gates chatroom called the club bar.

That would probably be the best option.
There are a lot of clubs out there who have a saturday night meet on their respective chat-rooms.
Mind you - wouldn't you rather have the same chat in the club bar? <img src="/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

That is of course assuming that the bar isn't helpfully halved in size because of a "function" making it impossoble to get served and hold a meaningful conversation.

Hopefully next season this practice of closing half of our bar down because it's bingo or something at half 8 will stop.
