The Berks and Bucks have called off all of these weeks county cup fixtures so the following games are already off. I think it is safe to say no-one will have a game as their is already loads of football leagues games off as well.

Confirmed as Postponed until the following Saturday 16th. meaning any league games involving these teams will be rearranged

Berks & Bucks FA - Intermediate Cup

Aylesbury Dynamos v Aston Clinton

New Bradwell St Peter v Aylesbury Reserves

Pitstone & Ivinghoe v Bucks CC

Wokingham & Embrook v Padbury United

Poor Phil Rolt must be having his worst campaign for many years, surely the season will have to run into early May as it's not fair to expect Club's to play three matches in a week for weeks on end

Look at this evil swine. It's Sammy the Shrimp, Southend United's mascot......a supposedly amiable, soft, feely touchy kind of beast that'll make the kids want to go back for more.....How?.

I reckon, if the Ku Klux Klan needed a publicity stunt to get the kiddies involved, Sammy the Shrimp would be the man....or the fish....or whatever the heck it is. Surely this sort of irresponsibility can't be encouraged in football though.

What's wrong with a good old wooden rattle, a rosette and a woolly hat with a bobble on top. Shocking.

The only game I can see maybe being on locally (ish) is in the Middlesex County League between Hounslow Wanderers and Hayes Gate on their 3G pitch...But with the snow, ice and rubbish conditions it'll probably be called off too...

TheColdEnd - I suppose for genuine football anoraks, such as yourself, Sjj2112, Royals26 and Football Man, the weather we have been experiencing recently is your worst nightmare.

Yet again Rhodes you throw out your patronising generalisations, and yet again you are wrong. There's no football on at the moment but it's not the end of the world, I've got plenty of other things to occupy my time. It must be terrible to go through life as one of those people who thinks that football is the be all and end all - like you proclaim to.

As for worst nightmares - a revisit to the Viking Sports Ground..............

Sjj2112 - Well I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way and why would Bill Shankly have uttered those immortal words if it was so 'terrible' as you put it

I see that Watford v Sheffield United is off tomorrow so I'm assuming that Sun Postal Sports v Tokyngton Manor will be too

He means he doesn't know G17. He's not kept in the loop like official Officials. Know what I mean?

Keeps, well as Vicarage Road is a stones throw from Sun Postal Sports ground in Bellmountwood Avenue it's a good indication that Sun Postal Sports v Tokyngton Manor will also be postponed tomorrow. Is there any news on Dartford v Margate by the way.

Only 6 matches in SSML remain to be postponed. Please don't get excited and thin k that that they may be on! It's just that they are being tardy in notifying postponement!

Latest position

The league website, provided by Goalrun, seems to be slow in updating from Mitoo! (not sour grapes on my part, I assure you.)

... thanks for the concern - though I'm not sure the words 'genuine' and 'anorak' strictly go that well together in Football spheres.

.... I count myself as a 'closet half-anorak' - since I'm an ST holder @ Reading - as implied by my username. The irony is that the MadStad game is OFF tomorrow too (was announced early yesterday PM) - I had a brief flick round the NL sites but as I expected every match within (safe) reach - if there is such a thing in these conditions - was called off long ago.

I have to say this particular holiday period has been pretty meagre for NL - though I have braved the weather and been fortunate enough to get to three matches - so I've not been completely without a 'fix'.

Doesn't look too promising for the next week or so.......

ALL GAMES NOW OFF

I expect Haringey Borough are rubbing their hands at this news, had it not been for this untypically cold weather we are experiencing their game with Tring Athletic at Coles Park would still have been off this afternoon so they have 'saved face'

I thought we might get a "change of record" in a new decade but I see its the same old drivel.

And incidentally your favourite quote is most associated with Bill Shankly in this country but he was as I've told you before paraphrasing a US football coach of the 1950s. Bit like everyone associating the 'African team will win the World Cup before the year 2000' with Pele although it had already been said by Walter Winterbottom but he isn't so media friendly.
