I don't follow the season extention line at all Jab.

Plenty of time to go.

Even if dartford game is postponed, that leaves 23 league games and one cup game to play.

15 weeks to go until end of season and just 24 games to fit in.

still easily less than two games a week-and i'm sure both manager and players would prefer to play as opposed to train on a tuesday.

Less than 2 games a week-no problem

Thats fine if the weather starts to improve and agree playing 2 per week is better then training on a Tuesday but im sure (may be wrong) there are teams still in cup comptions that may cause postponements if we are due to play them. Not just Margate but the league in general I was thinking of regarding the season.

Last season we fitted in very easily 27 first team games between mid august and end of december-and no-one then thought we were playing too much ;so -yes -if the weather improves-i don't really see any difficulty.

Surely the weather is not that much different to usual-we always get a cold snap sometime leading to postponements-maybe its a touch worse this season, but whereas the cold snap came in Feb last year-maybe its in Jan this year.

Most times-these things just even out .

Up the Gate.

AS under MB we like to think we are an improving team (do need to start to see our 'thoughts' translated into points though)i believe these postponements will be to our advantage this season

I think i still believe that ITH but we do seem to having been saying that for some time now-about 5 seasons in fact.

Not expecting or even wanting (this season) anything spectacular-just a couple of wins in a row/maybe another 'run'of 3 games unbeaten, and to hover around 11th position-that'll do me nicely for the rest of the season thanks

In 2001 despite adverse weather conditions and a large number of postponements, the Ryman League refused to extend the season. Aldershot actually failed to get a game played against Billericay after they were ordered to play 3 matches on consecutive days, however the Billericay match was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and the match never played.

The big issue for me is do we have a big enough squad to cope with a fixture backlog with the inevitable injuries and suspensions? Same for all teams I know but we desperately need long term absentees like Young and Smith back and playing regularly (any news on Corbishley?) I may be wrong but aren't Joseph and Clarke only on loan and will these be extended? No chance of game being on Sat - have friends who live in Dartford and snow and ice really bad there.

I guess you've either been living under a rock or you're a fan of understatements. The weather is a hell of a lot worse than it's been for a decade or more. OK, so we often get a cold snap, but it usually lasts a week, maybe 10 days at most. We are already in week 3 of this, and there's at least another week to go...
