We are off to the Seaside on August Bank Holiday

The fixtures show that on August Bank Holiday Monday we are away to Bognor.

 

So it's pack the bucket and spade and here we come on a jolly day by the sea.

 

This is going to have to be a day trip for all Blues fans.

Will over the next few days negotiaite a coach deal for the season.

 

I note that we have a number of our longer journeys at the start of the season.

 

Good to see that the league look at travelling all round as we are away on Tuesday nights to both Kingstonian and Bedford. Thanks the Ryamn League.

If we have enough support for the idea, how about going down on the Friday evening and coming back Sunday morning? depending on the numbers, couldn't we get some discount on accomodation?

If anyone is considering a few days down in Bognor, I'd seriously consider booking your accomodation ASAP! Done Bognor weekenders a few times and it does get packed. Made the mistake of not booking on one occasion and 5 of us ended up sleeping in my fiesta, not very comfortable and definately no fry up in the morning!

We have a game on Saturday at home to Hayes...So, if there is the possibility of an overnighter, it wud have to be a Sunday start....If not then "we" need a coach that will start "early" Monday monring...cos then we can get on it!! - and also the traffic will be heavy....Personally, bank hol weekend, I wud think it wud be difficult to get accomadation....But a Beano bus wud be very good..After all, to get as many down there needs a (good working coach) Oh, and driver....hehehe

Like the weekender idea myself - leave either saturday evening post Hayes game or early doors sunday. Sleep in tent in field near arundel. Spend 3 days drinking beer, forgetting to return to work on tuesday, but remembering to go to Bognor to visit birthplace of MotherBTFC. And watch some football. And drink some more beer.
