Weather Conditions: W/C 3rd January.

A pitch inspection at Meadowbank was carried out mid p.m. today, (Sunday 3rd).

 

In front of the main stand, (where the sun don't shine at this time of year), the pitch has now frozen so hard, it is not possible to drive a spike into the ground.

 

It's bad news considering the forecast, as we are due to entertain Woking on Tuesday evening in the Surrey Senior Cup in what is already a re-scheduled game !

Hardest Frost last night for ages,and with the forecast for more of the same all week.Cannot see any games being played this week.

I've just checked Metcast for the RH4 area, (Dorking).

 

Temperatures will not rise above freezing over the next 48 hours with minimum temperatures reaching -5 degrees.

 

Also a possibility of snow late afternoon today AND tomorrow.

It was minus 6 in Sutton last night.

 

There will be no games this midweek and Saturday looks most unlikely!
