On field disciplinary record

Should we be offering some minor plaudits for the disciplinary record this season ?

I know JK and LB are suspended next saturday but at least its only one game each, and overall, it seems to me that the players have shown some restraint this season-i think just one sending off-and it seems relatively few bookings;so we have not been really hurt by lots of suspensions so far.

Of course-the counter argument is that there has not been enough aggression shown-and hence 'too few bookings';but to me-you just can't afford to lose players for 3 games-or 5 games as happened too frequently in previous seasons.

With the likelihoood of the squad being pruned (listen to welsies interview on www.margate-fc.com ) that will be even more important that players keep 'control'.

So for me-well done in this aspect to players-and previous (TY) and current management alike.

(i hope not famous last words )

It now seems that MB thinks we are pussycats.

Urging the players to be a bit 'nastier'

I believe there was a similar article in I of T gazette.

Of course-if its not in your nature and we don't have that type of player to be 'nasty' it just turns out all wrong.

I'd love to see MB sign a couple of 'ugly ones'.

However-whilst advocating we get a bit nastier-it seems that most of MB's signings have been the 'fleet footed type ' so does he need to look at himself for this aswell ?

It does seem at moment though that we've 'got what we've got ' and MB has to bring the best out of them-of which he is very capable.

Delicate balance of 'being nasty' and then accruing bookings and losing players to suspensions.

Never easy
