I agree with Wellsie - it is all relative.

 

I would be happy with 0 - 0 draws if each game was a case of both teams going at it hammer & tongs, everyone trying to score, goalies making great saves, etc. What I would not be happy with is if the 0 - 0 draws were as a result of either side deciding to defend for the whole game, blocking the goal and snatching a sneaky goal in the last minute. Anyone who saw the England - Uruguay game in the 1966 World Cup will know what I mean - the general view of that game was that both sides were frightened to kick off in case the other side scored.

 

And before anyone says yes, we won the World Cup that year, we did and it was 4-2.

 

There has got to be a balance, after all people do still like to be entertained.
