2 Reasons

1) By my reckoning. you're the closest club to Ford. Just up the A127, over the flyover, along the A12 and turn right.

 

2) The league like an easy life. They don't like to change the Boxing day/ bank holiday fixtures unless they absolutely have to. Therefore Billericay v C*nv*y, Thurrock v Grays, Braintree v Heybridge and Ford v Hornchurch.

Yeah he's right, we normally play Billericay on Boxing Day and Grays normally play Purfleet. Ford is the nearest club to you (you're just a couple of miles from Barkingside where Ford are based).

 

I would not be surprised if Hornchurch v Canvey is the August Bank Holiday fixture or possibly New Year's Day. I hope we play you fairly early on. It would be a real bas..d to have to wait until nearly Christmas to play you!
