Facilities

Just wondered who in the CCL has the best and who has the worst Facilities in your opinions.

Played at CB Hounslow today and found it terrible that the showers has four spaces with only two pipes and heads attached but one of thos dribbled out and was unusable meaning sixteen of us sharing one shower head.

To be fair the pitch was in very very good condition and played very well

Hounslow was terrible- to make it worse the lights went out and we had to get changed in darkness. Still at least the changing rooms were bigger than WP which really shouldnt be allowed at this level. Saying a building is old isnt an excuse. Our club house is crumbling to bits but we make sure it's looked after inside and the showers maintained.

South Park 's very good as is Croydon and Crescent Rovers ( and Lammas)

1. Agree with hounslow - changing rooms and showers are no where near up to scratch, best in Prem ..... tell me gents? Haven`t been everywhere in last couple of seasons but in my humble opinion........

2. Best overall ground - Badshot Lea in Prem (obviously!) .... South park in Div 1 (obviously!!)

3. Best hosts - Prem- Cove ..... Div1 Knaphill cos we smacked 5 there!smilewinkgrin.gif .... (only a point at home today though should have been out of sight at half time!!!!!)

4. Best Pitch - Prem - B/L or Egham or Sandhurst ..... Div 1 Eversley

5. Worst Pitch - Prem Collliers Wood / Ash ..... Div 1 Frimley Green

Good to be playing againbeer.gif

Not bin to them all over the last couple of seasons so happy to be corrected and educatedsmilewinkgrin.gif

Can only comment on Prem teams and will only pass opinion on a team that actually play on their own patch/ground.

This discussion has been done before but what the hell............it's not like we are talking football results is it! Fecking weather!!

1. Best Changing rooms - Horley Town

2. Worst Changing Rooms: Ash Utd (too small) & Dorking

3. Best overall ground - Molesey

4. Worst Overall Ground: Dorking (sorry Big JR)

5. Best Pitch - NGU & Sandhurst

6.Worst Pitch: Cove (present condition) and Dorking

7. Best Club house - Horley

8. Worst Clubhouse - Guildford City and Sandhurst

Harsh johnno to say Meadowbank is the worst ground. A decent amount of covered terrace, load of seats and a reasonable clubhouse. A good old fashioned ground in a nice location!

What's the latest on Cove's pitch? Any date to go back yet? I assume you will remain at Hartley for the time being.

Latest news is: pitch may get the green light for Saturdays league tie versus RPV.

Dorkings ground is very run down and poorly maintained in my opinion. Certain previous posters on here said the reason they would not make an effort with the ground was that either it was being sold or that the club were in danger of being made homeless by the council - hence why no point in cleaning up the ground. All that is now sorted isnt it??

The pitch is always in a bad way. The changing rooms stink, the showers barely work and the ceiling is falling in. The club house is empty except from a few seats, a bar, and a strange looking character in an old Chelsea coat propping the bar up! No pool table, no large screen, no fruity.

The surrounding area is run down, the fences are falling over and a strimmer on the nettles wouldnt harm.

Nothing against the club, players, manager or members but the ground is behind the times in a big way.

I dont look forward to visiting Dorkings ground once a year let alone twice with Bookham sharing. Sorry!

i actually like medowbank. proper old ground right in the middle of town. would have loved to been there if it was ever full

I've seen 3 big crowds there in my time. Plymouth, FA Cup 1st round 1993 3,500, AFC Wimbledon Ryman 1 South 2004 2,500 & Portsmouth in 2007, must have been nearly 3,000?

HI JJ WITH REGARDS TO ALL THE GROUNDS I'VE VISITED THIS SEASON (LAST SEASON WAS RYMANS) I TEND TO AGREE WITH YOU JJ ALTHOUGH I CANNOT COMMENT ON THE CHANGING ROOMS OF COURSE !

HEREWITH MY OPINIONS. THESE ONLY MY OPINIONS SO DON'T CHOP MY HEAD OFF IF I HAVE OFFENDED YOUR CLUB IT IS NOT INTENTIONAL !

JUST ONE SUGGESTION JJ BADSHOT LEA/FARNBORO' NOT A BAD PITCH !!!'

SORRY BIG JR/TRS DIDN'T LIKE DORKING CLUBHOUSE BUT THE PEOPLE THERE OFFERED ME A WARM WELCOME TO THEIR CLUB ESPECIALLY THE 'BIG' GUY THINK THAT MAY HAVE BEEN YOU JR !!!

WENT TO CHERTSEY YESTERDAY THEIR CLUBHOUSE LEAVES A BIT TO BE DESIRED (NO OFFENCE CHERTSEY BOY) IT'S JUST MY OPINION

AGREE JJ THAT HORLEY HAVE THE BEST CLUBHOUSE, BUT I ALSO THINK MOLESEY CLUBHOUSE IS ON PAR WITH THEM.

THEN THERE'S CROYDON'S CLUBHOUSE WHICH IS ABOUT A MILE -A-WAY FROM THE GROUND, NOT GOOD FOR MY HEART AND LEGS!

EGHAM'S CLUBHOUSE IS A BIT DARK AND DINGY AND THEIR PITCH ISN'T THE BEST CERTAINLY IN WET WEATHER

SOME CLUBS I'VE YET TO VISIT SO CANNOT COMMENT ON ALL THE CCL CLUBS

Badshot Lea groundshare otherwise they would be the best on every point. Its not their ground and eventually will move back home.

Cherrywood (Farnborough Fc) is looking amazing. Huge stand, even huger stand being built, great pitch, large changing rooms, 50" widescreen tv's every where you look including the away changing room, nice bar (although was much nicer when it was Farnborough Town Supporters/Social Club). To complete the ground all they have to do is fill in the pot holes in the car park. A bridge too farthough maybe!!

How can You compare the Sandhurst clubhouse with our Portacabin, their clubhouse is small but functional ours is just a portacabin !!!. But Egham's large clubhouse smells of old wee, that wins it for me.

Agree with u Wattsy CB nice pitch very poor changing rooms, going on where i've been over the last few season's.....Best: Eversley for changing rooms as there brand new. Feltham when they were at H&Rsmilewinkgrin.gif , but as for pitches played at this season Staines was in good nick

Worst: Coulsdon or WP changing rooms, Frimley or Chobham pitch

HI JJ , GOOD TO HEAR THE QUICK PROGRESS REGARDING COVE'S PITCH WHICH WILL HOPEFULLY COME TO FRUITION ON SATURDAY AGAINST RPV.

HAVE YOU HAD A NEW NEW PITCH LAID OR HAVE THE COUNCIL GIVEN THE PITCH THE GREEN LIGHT AFTER CLEANING IT UP ?

Brand new pitch laid yesterday!!

NOT!!!!

All i've been told is that it is more than likely that we will be playing at home on Saturday. I would assume that it will be because we get the green light!

SPLEG

Div1 Knaphill cos we smacked 5 there! .... (only a point at home today though should have been out of sight at half time!!!!!)

You only watched the first half then?

Divsion One Best Facility & Pitch:

1. Knaphill for obvious reasons! Modern facility, lights, stand and hardstanding in place in the next couple of months, great pitch when its not waterlogged!!!

2. South Park - Modern facility, good changing rooms, nice people, good clubhouse, good pitch

3. Eversley - Modern facility - great pitch, good clubhouse, good dressing rooms

4. Staines Lammas - Decent dressing rooms, good clubhouse, pitch okayish

5. Warlingham - Only because they ground share with Merstham

6. Hartley Wintney - Decent all round, pitch was not too clever in the early stages of the season

Division One Worst Facility & Pitch

1. Chobham - Poo dressing rooms, poo pitch, half decent clubhouse

2. Frimley Green - Poo dressing rooms, poo pitch, half decent clubhouse

3. Crescent Rovers - Ten mile walk to the pitch, reasonable dressing rooms, half decent clubhouse

4. Farleigh Rovers - Poo pitch, poo dressing rooms, half decent clubhouse

5. Coulsdon Utd - Proper poo all round

Outsiders

Westfield, decent pitch and always seems playable, old clubhouse and dressing rooms, soon to be new?

Worcester Park, decent pitch and always seems playable, fantastic clubhouse, very poor dressing rooms

Could go on and on.......

I'm told there is a very good reason for that !!
