Good and bad

 

AFC Sudbury 4 - 1 Chesham United

Chesh down to 10-men when it was 0-0 and Steve Wales scored and missed a pen for them. Leaves us six points above Chesham with a game in hand on them.

 

Soham Town Rangers 0 - 3 Bury Town

No real shock here, but Soham did hit the bar twice. Bury go five points above us, but they have played a game more and we are still to play them away.

 

Away from our league nice to see Brian McDermott get a decent result against Liverpool as Reading caretaker manager. Lets hope he gets the job at Reading on a permanent basis and as a Slough supporter himself send us a few talented young players on loan and a friendly in the summer would also be nice!! ;-)

Tuesday is going to be an interesting at the top one too, with Barton Rovers v Burnham, Bury v Arlesey and Hitchin v Rothwell.

I'd personally make Bury favourites for the title going into the league at pretty much the half-way mark. That may shock a few but Hitchin have played all the 'top teams' at home and in the second half of the season have to play ourselves, Chesham, Burnham, Bury and Arlesey away from home which won't be easy.
