Attendance increases at Stag Meadow

Really good that crowds are on the up as mentioned on another thread, with the kids for a quid and free entry for forces. How about offering half price admission for season ticket holders of other clubs, a number of clubs do it. Better to get half admission than none at all and what with them possibly spending in the bar and food it could be worth it.

Seeing as a number of people have season tickets at Reading,Wycombe,Slough etc who knows after coming down a few times when their team are away they might even tear their season ticket up and support a decent team

Yep great idea but would need to be taking to the public rather than something on the back page of the observer or the WEFC website. The only people who read those already have a passing intrest in the club where as with the Scotty the Stag publicty going into the town and leaflet dropping has clearly worked where as past offers by Windsor didnt work aswell dispite the good intent. Would need man power of course and i'll be first to put my name down to help in what way i can and i'm sure many of us would.

Our crowds this season are 5% down on last year but that is without the travelling Slough fans and Didcot who brought a few aswell so actually our fanbase has grown this year.

If the crowds carry on growing i think we could easily beat last years average and build from that!

The problem I would see is that the fans most likely to travel to us in the first place would be the season ticket holders for our visitors, so although we might gain a few extra heads we'd risk losing more than that on the gates overall. However if we can afford the risk (and it shouldn't be that large) it looks like the kind of friendly approach that might gain support in the long run.

- and, to save on the problems we always seem to have with change, we could always make it £5 for away season tickets instead!

I believe most clubs who do this sort of offer don't extend it to the fans of the opponents they are playing on that day, where it might make a difference is to undecideds for say local fans of other clubs, as money is tight paying a fiver to get in on production of their clubs season ticket might swing it if others clubs admission will still be £8-10, might be worth a try for a little while towards the run in to the end of season and hopefully with us playing some quality football we might get some more permanent fans for next season.

I would say this is a good idea as it would encourage fans of local clubs to go and see games in the local area should they not be able to watch their team away, or their teams game is off/

I think Beaconsfield do this for STFC season ticket holders, and a few of those who do not travel away with Slough do go to the Beaconsfield games (although not too many admittedly)

I'm sure we did something along these lines a few years ago but it didnt really pay off but thats more to do with not making the offer known and only sticking stuff on the website. That has been proven it doesnt work by itself and needs more than that. Just look at Ian Dawson and Scotty The Stag. Them two have gone into the town and its payed off not just stuck something on the website and leave it at that and hope people stumble across it.

Actually I went to the Bedfont Green game which i quite enjoyed (apart from the crap beer in the clubhouse which even the Windsor fans

I was with were moaning about).
