ETFC v Cheshunt

Echo those sentiments seemgee. Another clean sheet, a convincing 4-0 home victory in a local derby, four different scorers and three more precious points, now that really is a superb start to the new year after the recent weather enforced inactivity.

Many congratulations to Steve and Del on your December manager of the month award, and to everyone on todays result. Keep up the good work.

well i didnt see invisible young man ;-)

good performance in the freezing cold, although cheshunt were rubbish, and going down.

our fourht goal was a great team move, and if we keep playing like that then we are in for a great season. keep it up lads..

Another good team performance... Cheshunt were very poor at the back and going forward.

The cold end's young cousin from Portsmouth was up for this one and was impressed with the Town team which was nice to hear.

match report - the cold end

It was very nice to see the return of Talk of the Town End.... £2 very well spent!! Well done to the TOTE collective

A satisfactory performance against a poor side

Nice passing moves, in places

It could easily been 6 - 2

Rob had 2 saves to make which he did.

And that puts Cheshunt in the relegation zone

Job done

Good to have the drum in full flow as well!

Agree totally, we certainly could have had 6 which would not have flattered our forward play. We've been riding our luck at the back though, the facts show 3 goals conceded in the last 4 matches but as ST has stated Cheshunt could have and should have had at least 2 goals but inept finishing and good goalkeeping technique kept another blank sheet. We'll be hard to beat if we continue scoring 4 goals but we do need to strengthen the right back spot a central midfield player and look forward to getting Ellams back into left back position before February arrives. If we do then we would have the strongest team in the division.

But whats happened at Cheshunt???? They must be in a right mess. They had some very able young footballers but out of their depths and can only see them being relegated with the strength they showed yesterday.

Weather forecast is a horrendous one for the coming working it'd be great if our winning momentum is not disrupted too much.
