I have to say, I don't see the reason for the acrimony. Players do move around a lot at this level - the O'Connor's come to mind, especially Craig - and it's understood that there are a number of reasons, including travel, frequency of selection, personalities, opportunities elsewhere, and of course money. And combinations.

 

Whatever the issues at Totton, I say we should leave them to resolve them in peace. I haven't seen a stronger team in the league - bar one, naturally - and given they only came up to this level last year and should be in the play-offs at least for the second year running, without simply buying success, they and their fans can be really proud.

The new additions might not stop there either with Scott on the lookout to make one more signing to keep their excellent unbeaten run going through the second half of the season. "I've got room to bring one more player into the squad but he's got to be the right one, if I find him, brilliant, if not then we will go with what we've got," commented the Royalist supremo.

 

"Within my budget then I have room for one more, ideally now that we have four strikers again I'd like to probably look at a midfield/defender position. I've got a few that I want to look at over the course of the next month or so if I can and we will see how we go from there."

 

I suppose we don't have too many defensively-minded players in the squad, some games we've seemed to be playing a 2-3-5 or even scarier... Seriously, I think if the squad page was updated it'd show only five defenders in total, so we are probably a player light.

Ross Bottomley is another one who has fallen out with Mr Budny - although he's on loan at Bashley, one wonders whether he might fit the bill. He was very dominant against us. He's from Ascot I believe so may still be local.
