Seems to of kicked off a right stink on their message board! They really are coming across as bad 'losers' with their constent digs at Windsor and lack of respect towards us, and other sides!

 

I notice their game is off today so that will mean they cant catch up with their games in hand until at least next month now!

I don't think that's entirely fair of the board as a whole... in fact there seems to be an underlying concern about what is going on at the club which is perhaps surprising.

 

We found their fans a thoroughly decent lot when they came down here and I'm sure that is the case in reality - the Director of Football seems to be the one who has a problem with us.

 

Interesting that the original report he wrote about their 1-0 defeat has been edited to something less graceless.

Gumbsy moved to Beaconsfield after leaving us, but I'm not sure where the likes of him and Steve Daly stand with the new manager coming in. This is his last season so I'd imagine he'd be keen to play every week.

Cant see our game on saturday going ahead so it'll be a while before we see Nathan Jack as it is!

The Totton Forum is a bloody joke.

 

I seem to have inadvertently created a bit of a hoo-hah. The thread I started about Nathan Jack has been deleted - so not only have "Good Luck" messages from the fans gone, also Nathan Jack's post thanking the fans for their support and explaining that not everything is necessarily as it first appears gone, also messages from some of their fans expressing concern about how some aspects of the club are run, espec re Mick Budny's role as Director of Football, have disappeared as well.

 

Interesting that in another contribution Herr Budny's said: "Jacko is claiming we should have informed him that Windsor had made an approach for him....why? He said he was more than happy to be with us and was having a great time here."

 

Seems a bit odd to me that - doesn't matter where one's allegiances lie, surely when another club makes an approach about a player especially one NOT EVEN UNDER CONTRACT he has every right to expect to be informed about it?

 

Other comments that have been made include one by a committee member who said that she had been involved for 20 years and had never known a bunch of players less supportive of the club and what it is trying to do... also deleted I believe.

 

Seriously not gloating, but it does sound like they have some troubled waters down there.

My latest post has been deleted from their website, despite being extremely complimentary about their team and supporters.

 

Oh well, the supporters are a good bunch (in the main) but one or two seem to believe I am on a wind up and only have bad things to say about them. Maybe if they come on here they can see some of the truth of what has been posted on their forum.

 

Untrue and bizarre, but I suppose that's what strict censorship can achieve.

 

Shame on their webmasters.

 

Whoever comes out on top at the end of the season will have proven themselves to be the better team. Let's hope Nathan Jack has a good hand to play in the end game. If he doesn't help swing it our way sobeit. That's football. Mr Budny & Co will remain oddly bitter by the looks of it.

 

I will conclude by offering a sincere welcome to Nathan Jack.

I don't know why they have deleted stuff either. In the whole of yesterday there were only two posts that were anything like offensive to anyone and one of them was to you !!

I don't see what all the fuss is about. The way I see it is that a player that has only been here for 6 months has left, so what. Put a note on the home page, wish him luck and get on with it.

Thanks for that SW. It seems that any post remotely calling into question Mr Budny's views / statements (whether by me or AFCT's own fans) gets deleted.

 

To be perfectly honest everything he has said so far makes him look like a small-minded fool so I wouldn't be in the least surprised if he has the power to arrange for thread / post deletion on the message board.

I am a ZSL fan of neither Totton or Windsor, but I think that they have now deleted all forum threads relating to Jack/Windsor transfer. Pretty poor form, a forum is there for 2 sided discussions, but alas it does appear that there is censorship, even removing posts praising their player! Players move on all the time, my club have lost a couple, but that is football. If any team thinks that every player will stay with them for 15 seasons then they are deluded. All the best, you bought a big contingent to us earlier in the season so I dont dislike you as much as some other teams haha!

Seeing as I can't now post on my own forum, I'll post on here !!

This is getting out of hand. There has been no offensive posts no huge slagging off, just some concern that NJ has left and the reasons he has gone. Another player has gone as he was looking for 1st team football and could not get a regular game and another on loan for discipline reasons It happens all the time, I can't see what they are getting their knickers in a twist about. Surley a forum is for discussion and a little banter. We were a decent team last season without him in our first year in the league and we will still be a decent team without him. It is not as if we are Liverpool and a two man team. He was not even our best player and has been largly disappointing in the last month.

I am sure it will blow over when we actually get to play a game at home (no game since 28th November) and not much prospect of playing Tuesday night either.

Ringo, what they have basically done is make it so you have to register with Pitchero and associate yourself with AFC Totton. They then approve this and hey presto, you can post.

 

What they are basically doing is keeping the forum for there favourite two or three people to chat amongst themselves. But then again those two or three people are all probably Mr Budny!!

He is there, but not sure how much he actually has to do with things during matches or just likes to be in the thick of things. personally, I don't have a problem with it.

He is afterall the financial man so probably likes to be involved, maybe he is just passionate about the team. I can't knock him as the club would probably not be where they are without him.

Maybe he should consider his statements a little before publishing. Sometimes silence is good enough to get your point across. regarding NJ, if he has said on the site that he had decided to go to W & E and as he was not under contract we could not do anything about it, sorry to see him go but wish him all the best, that would have been the end of it. The details would have got out via the jungle drums anyway, no need to make a public statement.

The whole situation stinks of sour grapes.

 

A player leaves a club for their biggest league rivals and all of a sudden a 'statement' comes out slating that player saying he didn't do this, he didn't do that. If he had gone to any other club in any other division then nothing would have been said.

 

In regard to considering statements, maybe Mr Ritchie should take the same advice and not make comments in your opponents local paper the day before a game..

This thread is a terrific read, well for a Windsor fan anyway. A good player leaving them and joining us, a certain amount of disquiet and unrest in who are, realistically at the moment, our only real competition to the title.

 

if all that is posted, and then removed, is accurate there is clearly a management issue here. The manager proved what a plonker he was in the article in our local slating us and then showing serious sour grapes in their local after losing.

 

Their fans have, in the whole, been genuine honest fans with realistic views and generally nice attitude in the last three times we have played them. Their forum has been bigging up their title chances, but why not, they are a good team, we have done the same on here. But when you start removing any negative threads or ones that the management might not like you are playing with fire. The fans will be here long after any players or managers, and they never forget, never.....

 

So is this the start of something bad for Totton, for Windsor's promotion hopes I would like to see them falter for a few matches and give us a nice cushion and allow us to win the league. But to be honest, this is a club that has grown thorugh the club itself with good home crowds and good fans. Unlike Truro who are heavily funded and have just bought success I have a lot of respect for Totton and think they deserve to go up as they have been the only other team in the last two seasons who have been consistently good and impressed me every time I have seen them. Just in a play off place not as champions please!!!!

 

As for the Uxbridge review, nice to see some humility in the report, not a sign of bitterness there at all.

 

I agree that we could do with Totton playing a few games now, if they are in a bad way they could drop a few points, which would benefit us greatly.

 

But hey, I am sure this is not the end of the twists and turns of what is sure to be an exciting season
