Website states the that the fitness of the pitch will be down to the Ref's jurisdiction at about 1.15pm. fingers cross, the sooner we knock up another 3pts and keep the pressure on our opponents the better

The temp is not supposed to get over 2 degrees so I doubt the pitch will thaw today. bugger, I haven't seen a game for a while and next weekend we're at tat dump Ilford.

The Lowestoft match is already off due to a frozen pitch. If our game does go ahead and we knock up the victory we'd close the gap on the leaders and there back log of matches may cause them difficulties later in the season when the pitches become bogged out from the milder conditions and rainfall. The brilliant sunshine at the mo may help to thaw the pitch a bit more than otherwise expected, lets hope so.

Local games ie at Pots Bar and Wabbey - already OFF today.

 

I am sure our "Ground Staff" have a good idea about the likely position, albeit, up to the Ref at 1.15 ish.

 

Any news about 12.30 would be of great assistance to aviod a wasted drive.

I do sympathise with wanting to know asap as I too travel from distance when its a midweek game, however if its upto the ref then its only thru his eyes whether the game goes ahead or not. lets hope he makes the effort of getting there earlier than 1.15 with the view that the game could be off. It has freezed up considerably overnight though But for my mini waterfall my pond would have been well frozen over.

Early reports are looking good and those who have been to the ground are optimistic, but it is down to the ref. Will get an update on here as soon as possible.
