Hopefully the Bowers v Bas Utd game will be on. It will be be interesting to see how Bas Utd cope without the Manager (JP), Martyn Guest and Lee Mertens, who are all serving suspensions.

I read Richards list of x players and management at both clubs, that is some list....

Although i have seen both your clubs and grounds as a neutral, i have never seen a Basildon local derby, I am looking forward to it, i just hope it dont get called off.... :futbolbud2:

if it goes ahead it should be an interesting match when title chasing Basildon United visit crisis club Bowers and Pitsea tomorrow night, no ones under estimating Bowers but i did take the liberty of looking up Basildon's record away win today and it was 9-0 at Camberley Town in the Isthmian League Division Two in 1981/82. i cant help but wonder could it be a record breaking night at the Len Salmon tomorrow??

As an excited neutral to this game....

Unfortunately for you Basildonians local derbies do tend to throw a spanner in the works, this could be the game that pushes B&P up the table. Head obviously says an easy away win but because of all the x players in both camps, this all goes out the window.... I would expect B&P to come out all guns blazing, if you can get to half time without conceding then it should be yours, but if however you are one down by half time, it could be an exciting local derby.... :futbolbud2: I am not expecting a cricket score but one goal either way... :signthankspin:

If it goes ahead i predict a much closer result and as you said don't underestimate Bowers.They are like a wounded lyon,beware of them.... :smashfreakb:

I have just had this row on facebook. as things stand tomorrows match is ON, i for one believe it is most unlikely that the match will take place but until a ref gets down there and carries out a pitch inspection or indeed the league give bowers permission to postpone the match the game is ON. it will be off when its off but while its on its on.

well i know this much,any chance bowers had of a result is now gone, as when the match does go ahead Basildon's keeper Mark Palmer,Captain Martyn Guest,Lee Mertens and manager Jody will all be back from suspension.

i cant help but think that maybe Bowers should have spent a bit less on power showers and invested a few bob in forks for bert and blanchly.
