Beaconsfield car park photos

I popped down to the ground this morning with the camera, at around 09:30, so before the day's rain.

The lane to the ground is still icy away from the car tracks (about 1-2"), and there are still some large chunks of thick ice on the car park at th pavement towards the club house. The turnstile are is free of ice.

Yep... that is all there is ... after 4 days of melting and a lot of rain overnight, so you can imagine what it was like on Boxing Day, especially as the snow has totally melted around Slough.

If it carries on melting like this, and the ground does not get hit with the next batch of snow due in the next day or so, then the match on Saturday might be able to take place.

Chris, I can be at the ground to help out Friday or Saturday, if required.

I think we need to move on from the debacle of the Boxing day match.

I think most of us are in agreement that with a bit of effort from SYCOB the match would have had a fighting chance of taking place but as has been said before they have lost out financially not us.

Had a quick drive up there today and there is still a small amount of ice on the access road, although very small, and that was it. Depending on the weather on the next few days, I'm hopeful we'll finally see some Slough Town football again in the near future!
